Starmer and other European leaders set out to regime change Russia, to then balkanize it and, along with their American bedfellows, co-opt it's natural resources. Europe will continue declining relative to the US, China, India and South East Asia and largely, lacking in natural resources, Russia offered it an economic lifeline. But that dream is over. Russia is stronger than ever and has an increasingly robust alliance with China. The West will now turn its attention to Venezuela and Iran. I hope the BRICS+ nations stands firm against the likes of Starmer, Macron and the Western oligarch class.

If only we could have an army solely to repel invaders and not to follow the US/Nato into wars that they start in other countries! We could start by closing our borders to the invasion of migrants and so-called refugees. Now, that would be real defence of this land we call ours! I would certainly refuse to fight in any US/Nato war.

The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, stated that those guilty of atrocities against residents of the Kursk region will be punished, but there is no point in relying on international structures in this matter. According to her, international organizations continue to ignore the mass murder of civilians committed by Ukrainian neo-Nazis and refuse to investigate the crimes of the Kyiv regime, RIA Novosti reports. Zakharova noted that the West, encouraging the Kiev regime, pretends not to notice the gross violation of international humanitarian law and the Geneva Conventions. "This is exactly what the states of the collective West expect from the Banderites. They cynically look away from their criminal acts," she said. Russian investigative bodies will take all necessary actions to identify the perpetrators, and they will receive the punishment they deserve. Zakharova added that this will happen similarly to many other crimes of the Kyiv regime that have been identified. "We will do it ourselves," she confidently stated.

"Dnieper is near. " The Dnieper is nowhere near the ACTIVE front lines. Pokrovsk where the main RU push is to the Dnipro about 170 km or so by road.
The rest of the frontline west of Pokrovsk to the Dnipro River & down to the Dnipro delta is basically an inactive front covered by either the river or millions of land mines on both sides. The Russians really don't have the resources to activate those "Ghost Fronts" located west of Pokrovsk.

Yeah well they used up those crappy AKs they had at the invasion to arm the home guards or lost those arms in battle in 2022-23. A lot of the heavy weapons in the UA army (tanks, artillery, and MRLS) are still of Soviet-Ukrainian design. The RU soldier is just jealous that the UA soldier side has much better personal kit overall. I mean imagine going to war in 2025 with a lousy AK-47 and a tactical vest that has little chance of stopping a bullet.

Robert Kagan - the biggest Cheerleader of Ukraine if there ever was one - now says it out loud:
Ukraine will likely lose the war within the next 12 to 18 months. Ukraine will not lose in a nice, negotiated way, with vital territories sacrificed but an independent Ukraine kept alive, sovereign, and protected by Western security guarantees. It faces instead a complete defeat, a loss of sovereignty, and full Russian control.

Isn't propaganda about controlling how we view what's going on? Critical views have consequences, not always pleasant. Free speech, expression & debate? A desire for hegemonic control naffs people off?

Economy is pretty good in US with 4% unemployment and rising wages. Why would anyone trade a good job in the private or public sector to be a US Army buck private with a base pay of under $30,000 ?? ... Also the Bush "War on Terror" has sort of sucked a lot of the glory and status of the US military ; being engaged in "forever wars" with long (and often extended) deployments.... I have always figured that the US should recruit an "International Corps" of select young foreigners for service (like the French Foreign Legion) and offer them US citizenship at the end of four years of honorable service.
