5 Lever Mortice Lock Bypass with a Coat Hanger

- ERA 5 lever lock. Not sure if this works with all of them. I tried to show how its done at the end but didnt go well. The coat hanger lifts all five levers but filed down enough to let the first lever back down opening the lock with no tension tool required. Educational use only. Please like and subscribe. Been playing with locks for a while now but just got round to making video. Thanks!

As someone who is skeptical of youtube videos i was surprised to unlock an old door (in 5 minutes) we had lost keys for a long time ago
The trick is ensuring the proportions are correct and practice with an old lock to understand what to do
Been climbing through the bedroom window and getting bunches of keys from key cutters to try figure out what key i needed, with no luck. Lockdown has meant no income since end of March so a locksmith call out wasn't an option. Decided to give this a go, out of desperation before getting in by brute force and damaging door and lock. Had it open in under 10 mins. Best tutorial on here. Thank you, I am so grateful to have found your video.

Yeah, this totally worked for me. The trick was getting the two bends in the of the coat hanger the right length.

I think it will work just on this particular type, or roughly. Cuz if you have a false gate in the middle, it definitely stops this method. I think anyway. I'll give it a try regardless. Been trying with no avail for 2 days with a combination of two hanger wires.

...and it's a curtained lever lock, the "higher security" kind. It even has false gates. Maaaaan :)
The mrs has lost the utility room key so will have to give this a go before i cut round the door lock and get a new door. my own fault i should of got a spare cut wjen we moved in.
Levers 2 to 5 are the same height, hence the wiggle for lever number 1 😂😂😂
3 and 5 are the same
