- welp, since jellystone season 2 (or 1b) is out now (and you should definitely watch it right frickin' now), that means more new characters! this is basically the same video but updated with characters that appeared in season 2 (or 1b), anywho if i missed any characters, let me know in the comments below and i'll be sure to update this again for when more jellystone content comes out!

Honestly, it doesn’t matter if they switched a character’s race, gender, sexuality. As long as they make the character first.
But I do get annoyed if it’s there to make some “movement.” But I don’t see any of that here in this show.

Having the entire Hanna-Barbera cast as members of their own town is honestly a fantastic idea. All that charm they had was pretty much completely retained.
Also, we stan trans Bobbie Looey and the other characters with similar treatment ^^
Actually, Bobby Looey is among the genderbend characters in this show.

@@destroyerkitty9434 If the character was transgender, it would've been confirmed. We are just seeing female takes on the classic Hanna-Barbera characters just like the Spider-Girl that Olivia Holt voiced in "Ultimate Spider-Man".
@@Rtkat3 Funny considering one of the lead character designers straight up hinted at the idea of them transitioning on twitter. Literally the person who made their female counterparts made it pretty obvious she supported that piece of fanon down to the trans flag emoji and everything. Wouldn’t be shocking considering there’s other more explicit LGBT+ rep like Mildew Wolf or Snagglepuss. Just saying, I’m not getting this idea from nowhere.

Also: Zandor is hugging Gleep in his cameo, and the sewer monster at the end of Heroes and Capes is based on Gloop from the same show

Would like to see Zorak and Brak again in Jellystone! after their appearance in Jailcation (my guess is that they will be hecklers in Space Ghost’s talk show (referencing SG: Coast to Coast)). Although getting voice actors for them will be hard due to the passing of C. Martin Croker.

Wow! That sure is a lot of Hanna-Barbera characters involved with Jellystone!, which now has a 3rd season. Adding brand new characters like Jabberjaw’s daughter and Loopy de Loop’s sister was a very smart move for C. H. Greenblatt to do when he wanted to modernize Yogi Bear for a new generation of Hanna-Barbera fans.
They should have just done that at the beginning instead of making Jabberjaw and Loopy de Loop female.

Kinda Wish, The Other HB Characters, like The Powerpuff Girls, Dexter and Dee Dee, Johnny Bravo, The Snorks, the Smurfs, Penelope Pitstop, and Even Tom & Jerry, would Appear in the series too.
Honestly, I have seen mostly of Hanna-Barbera animations like Wally Gator, The Flinstones, Huckleberry Hound, Quick Draw McGraw, etc. and I do really adore their animations and episodes they are aired back on XX century. When I look at Jellystone, I haven't watched any episodes but I do really got disappointed of their looks. Like I can respect other styles and I can understand you guys liking it, but I do feel not good when I see at characters with like long noses or with changed size, their faces, etc. I don't feel good old vibes when I watched as little kid. I do really adore much more old versions than this currently new versions.

Dread Baron was a character created to be a Dick Dastardly proxy because at the point they made the show Laff-a-Lympics Hanna Barbera didnt own the rights to Dick Dastardly...Long story short, a Laff-a-Lympics tie in comic confirmed Dread Baron and Dick Dastardly are brothers, just like their dogs Muttley and Mumbly.

They should’ve kept Jabberjaw, Snooper, Top Cat’s friends, Squiddly and pretty much everyone else as guys. Don’t fix what isn’t broke. There are actually plenty of female animal characters they could use instead of gender swapping, such as Desert Flower, Lila Lion, Sheena Lion, Roxie Bear, and Zelda Ostrich.
Also loopy , I prefer the original male character
@@worldlandmarks236 Same Here, Loopy Should've stayed as the Charming Wolf that is always seeking a chance for Society's Aid, it would've made a great episode where Yogi or Someone would've helped Loopy all the way through until at the end of the Episode, he'll finally be accepted, after all these decades, and be apart of the Gang.
I don’t think it’s exactly an issue? I don’t see how changing their genders made things any worse. If anything it leaves more room for realistic diversity now that it’s not the 60’s anymore. It would feel a lot more unnatural to have so little female characters. Sure they weren’t broken, but changing them fixed a different issue and didn’t really break their characters at all.
They probably didn't want the show to be a sausage fest while also not using super obscure female characters. I mean the females that stayed females already have severe character overhauls so this really just adds to it

There hair styles are based on the Roman holidays which was basically the flintstone but in ancient Rome
