- Hogwarts Legacy is finally available on Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC, after launching early for Digital Deluxe Edition owners on February 7th. Spoilers have also begun to circulate about the ending, but what exactly is going on?
The ending was definitely a bit disappointing for me, I tried to always choose the most evil option but it didn't really impact much except for a few lines of dialogue. I also 100% the adventure book and yet Prof. Weasley said that there is still a lot to do or something like that.
But still, awesome game, 70 hours well spent!
The game was disappointing. So many mistakes in the "lore" like (the most obvious one) the Avada Kedavra clashes which can't happen. It's like they didnt even open the books.
Gameplay was eh diffuclty comes only by submerging you with adds.
Many MANY MANY bugs, either with locks or display
I feel like the storyline of Sebastian’s ended on a cliffhanger. Will he ever find out how to rid his sister of the curse?
Realistically the only way to break a curse is to kill the owner of the curse. *spoilers*
Seeing as the person who cursed Anne is now dead she should be cured and the curse lifted.
ya thats what i dont get either. There was no explanation of why anne went back to school after their uncle died. or even, whos taking care of them now that they're legit orphans? No closure on weather or not shes better now.
For the record, in the third Fantastic Beasts movie, Dumbledore briefly mentions ancient magic, saying it was around when he was a child, which means canonically it has been gone since his first year in Hogwarts as a student.
Also, in the 6th book HBP, when Dumbledore and Harry visit the cave, and Harry asks how he knows this is the right place. He simply says that it has known magic. And proceeds to stand there doing something that Harry can’t see.
My guess, Dumbledore can see traces of magic as well.
Little disappointed that the option to continue researching the potential of Ancient Magic for the betterment of all wizard kind was considered an "evil" choice. I personally believed it to be the most bold, and wise choice to make

This is always the case in the wizarding world they stick to what they know because experimenting with magic without a true understanding of it can lead to a change in the world that is for the worst and you may not be able to undo it but I agree with you people being afraid of furthering knowledge is stupid. You a Ravenclaw by chance?
I just want some story expansions for year 6 and seven. Those would be awesome in my opinion
Game is fun but waaaaay too ooo short. After everything is done. There nothing else to do.
the game is below average af, the only reason people are hyping this game is because it has harry potter slapped on it, if this game wasn't related to the harry potter world everyone would shit on this game.
shit dull npcs, short story with terrible narrative, even the side quests are better, where's the rpg immersion???
the game is literally 90% collecting and 10% missions.
shitfest of a game, its a 5 or 6 out of 10 because of the scenery and graphics lol.
Usually when you 100% a game, there isn’t more to do. There are 3 other houses you could play if you’re not satisfied but as for me, I got other games to play.

are we just forgetting about anne? lol a decent chunk of the story was helping seb find a way to help anne and that whole plot just.. paused? Or how she could be. I also want more quests with Ominis. and more meaningful characters in other houses besides Slytherin.
I felt like a love interest should've been included among one of the friend quest lines
I thought it would allow you a choice to destroy the dark magic because I didn’t agree with either choices. I didn’t want the power because cheap tricks always end up actually making the wizard weaker but I also didn’t want it just kept there, it would be idiotic to believe that no one else would come for the power it would always be a risk to the wizarding world and it should be delt with if possible.
I felt the same way. Like why keep it hidden? Obviously someone else will come along and try to find it. The only conclusion is to either destroy it or keep it for yourself so no one can access it, but by keeping it yourself nothing really impacted the story. I felt some of it was a disappointment. The story telling should of been more than I expected but overall happy with it. I’m replaying now but choose a different house . The first house I was in was raven claw and the second I griffendor
It was a good game. Enjoyed the beginning and exploring Hogwarts. Combat was enjoyable. Plants were a little OP. Merlin trials became a chore. End game difficultly on hard was a little too easy. I was like "that's it?" I didnt even use my potions and plants or any curse spells. The trial grounds around the map were harder. The ending wasn't varied enough. Also let us heal Sebastian's sister. I also felt more like a poacher, a farm hand, and a explosive barrel dispenser than a wizard.
Name pronunciation is a key indicator of whether you guys actually played the game or not.
The way they ended it I hope they add a sequel

I'd honestly prefer live-service to stay away from games like this. I mean look what happened to the new Avengers game.
Look at what happened to All, if not most, live service games… they’re all pretty much trash. Games like Hogwarts, Elden Ring, Spider-Man, etc need to be left untouched by the live service virus.
Some gacha games like genshin are good

How is picking the neutral route evil lol. I wanted the power for myself but then I did a kratos move and released the power to everyone but nah thats evil. I should have just stuck with the Slytherin way and took the power for myself.
Sad I never knew Fig ended up dying in the end :(
If the story continues, I hope it has options to pick up where you left off so you go on a slightly altered path depending on what you chose last time; between turning Sebastian in/not turning him in, so he may be there or he’s replaced with ominis. And what you did with the ancient magic, so you may be trying to hone the magic inside you or need to be a new keeper for the repository. And I hope there are some romance options too. But yeah the game needs consequences for the choices we made..
In the ending where I chose to absorb the magic, I didn’t even see fig die, so I’m gonna assume by the well known rule of ‘there’s no body’ that he’s possibly alive and might be back, for whoever else chose that ending.
Endgame would ultimately be fitting to have your own character permanently die, whether heroically or evilly. MC is of course inconsequential to the lore of the wizarding world, but you must have filled some unmentioned history books by the time you even leave school. Your life is dangerous and also if living to an old age, your character would be around to see ww1/ww2 and bad wizards like grindelwald arise, yet you’re not there with the ancient magic to defeat or team up with him? Only explanation? MC didn’t live to 35-40years..
Then any other games can continue with another protagonist/ time line.
I swear I hope they do more with the game because I mean I feel like there is a lot left out I mean come on you start as a fifth year what about years six and seven what about other enemies like you can’t just do that
I think this suffers from the same problem that a lot of people have been saying, and of that is this is simply a game for the fans. From what I've seen and I beat the game your choices don't really matter. The only way they matter is how you want your character to be portrayed to you and you alone. Because I agree I would have liked to have seen either some sort of reaction from all the characters rather you choose to be good or evil, and this would include maybe learning some different spells that only come when you choose a certain path. But all in all it's a disappointment being that it's just for fans service.
I hate that the whole series is about ancient magic and only 1 spell is used for it. I thought after I finish each trial I would be able to do the things they did like fixing the drought or if you chose the evil ending you can also harness others emotions -.-
Keep live service bollocks OUT of this universe!! There is no need nor, I believe a desire for it from the player base.
Pronouncing Celtic names can be difficult, especially if you're only pretending to have played the game for the sake of content.

Honestly game all around felt rushed from story, stiff animations, loot getting stuck in the ground, it felt as if should have been a mmo but last minute they changed it to a singleplayer game honestly over hyped
Do not make this a live service game!!!! That’s all I need to say
