O-H-I-O Porter greetings 🇺🇸 Good video. I see some of the rails are quite wobbly, but makes for a decent ride either way. Looks like the crew is working on expanding the rails a bit. That’s a good thing. Having an extra flat car sure makes traveling the rails a bit fun. Good for carrying some camping equipment or extra people. I’m not sure where this takes place & shall investigate more. I’ve always liked speeders & tried to buy a couple recently. I shall learn more about them & find a place to run them before I buy one I guess. Who knows. Such a good hobby! We enjoy trains, trucks & aviation. Good ride. Thanks for some insight. Blessings my friend! 🤩😎✌️

My grandfather use to ride alot in those speeders when he was working for CN in Northern Ontario in the 80's

This speeder was made in 1985 for CN by a company called Barre welding in a suburb of Toronto Canada

@@beavercar It's actually "Barrie" Welding, located in Barrie, Ontario about 90 miles North of Toronto. I've been there on business, it's a huge shop. Also, there used to be a CP shop in Toronto that had about 20 speeders sitting outside. This was in 1995 and the building is long gone and so are they. They were mostly Fairmonts and most had cabs.

This is very interesting. Is your speeder capable of dual gauge somehow?

Not really. Would have to completely replace the two axles, hubs, and brake rigging. For me not worth it as I have the same car in standard gauge.
