It does seem though that all these Chinese drama's have the same plot line... two lovers who are separated by a jealous 3rd party be it male or female. That jealous one never seems to realize their futility, in attempting to part the two lovers. Drama after drama - same script! Don't you people get tired of it? Even in "Chef Hua" while it was about Chinese cooking, which was interesting, same script... two lovers and a jealous female who considers herself jilted and blames the other female and not the male! How silly. This is not a very good commentary on the state of human mental health. And the Actor's go from one drama to another.. same people, different roles. COME ON CHINA! YOU HAVE DECENT ACTORS GIVE THEM SOME NEW SCRIPTS! I HAVE FAITH THAT THEY CAN DO IT. I've got an idea... how about a period drama that reflects what really happened! Not some trumped up story line build to pacify the "masses"! All this stuff about people flying and "cultivation" - do you really believe in all that? I have never seen a person float in all my 61 years. Let's face it- the Chinese have a flair for "fantasy" as much as we American's do.
There are many choices to be chosen.Some like fantasy for a while to relax or entertainment.Almost many fed up with day to day politics crime currption.Better to enjoy great classics and modern day fantasy
I agree with you that they put too much emphasis on scheming and extremity in goodness and innocence like in mythologies.Really it tests the patience of the viewers.
Honestly, if you don’t like it, you don’t have to watch this. Plus, that is drama,if drama is what you see in real life, who would bother watching it? They could just look around and still see drama
