The action always looks so low and playable on Tommy's Matons, and yet the tone is always sweet and every note sings. Obviously being Tommy Emmanuel must help with that a lot, but I think it's also a testament to how great Maton guitars are, I can't wait to own one some day.
A true gentleman and craftsman at work generously sharing his tradition and legacy. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I plan on learning this song for a reunion in Helena Montana at the mouth of the Missori River, important to the Lewis and Clark expedition. Hope you are doing well Tommy Emanuel.
I've been playing guitar on and of and I finally can do the alternating thumb and strum style of fingerpicking. This is my next challenge and I will learn this song!!!
It Leads Me On Mark A Noble vocals start 1:07 There are journeys I’ve made in my lifetime Many paths I have taken it’s true Yet I never thought that they would lead me A thousand miles away from you I have seen the glories of a new day Where no man has ever walked before In the breeze I hear your sweet voice calling A thousand miles from that distant shore x 2 CHORUS In my heart I am cryin’ in my soul I’m denying All the things I know I should have done Though this loneliness has got me And the loss of you it haunts me There’s still a calling & it leads me on x 2 Now the days they seem like moments In a life that only I will ever know As the unknown it surrounds me Still I have a thousand miles to go x2 CHORUS I still hear the call... Haha, not to mention that "rolling knuckle" thing he does. My fingers do not bend that way. At all 😂 Still, it's fun to try, I absolutely adore this song 💜

Brilliant. I can assure you that I cannot play like you. The only thing I can do is just watching how your fingers and your left leg are working together. Thanks anyway. Your video always torments me.
I hope so much that you play this song when you play your make up date in your first show in North Dakota which will be in Bismarck very near where Lewis and Clark and their expedition spent the winter with the Mandan. My brother and his family live there and have never seen you perform. Having seen you perform many times myself I sent him and his wife tickets to the show knowing what a treat it will be for them. Being the great story teller you are I hope you recount a little about Lewis and Clark as you prepare to play this song.

Why didn't you show the riff that is the most important in this song. The song cannot be played without it. You showed the least important elements. Pity.
This is a song that's so fun to play and get lost in the music and sense of adventure when you play it. Such a masterpiece.
Just no words on how beautiful this piece is
Thank you tommy for this upload. this is the song that brought me back to playing guitar 10 years ago.
The total package. A true master and a true gentleman.

Thanks, Maestro!.
It Leads Me On Mark A Noble
vocals start 1:07
There are journeys I’ve made in my lifetime
Many paths I have taken it’s true
Yet I never thought that they would lead me
A thousand miles away from you
I have seen the glories of a new day
Where no man has ever walked before
In the breeze I hear your sweet voice calling
A thousand miles from that distant shore x 2
CHORUS
In my heart I am cryin’ in my soul I’m denying
All the things I know I should have done
Though this loneliness has got me
And the loss of you it haunts me
There’s still a calling & it leads me on x 2
Now the days they seem like moments
In a life that only I will ever know
As the unknown it surrounds me
Still I have a thousand miles to go x2
CHORUS
I still hear the call... It Lead's Me On x2
lyrics Mark A Noble written to Tommy Emmanuel’s ‘’Lewis & Clark’’

The "rattlesnake" move is f****g genius. I thought there was a hidden maraca somewhere off-screen.
Fantastic! that lick in the middle of the G and Em shape is tricky to get while strumming but is really cool
