TRANSFORMERS Legacy United Autobots Stand United 5-Pack Review

Transformers Generations Selects has released the Legacy United Autobots Stand United 5-Pack (that’s a lot of uniting). Consisting of Jazz, Sunstreaker, Trailbreaker, Wheeljack, and Hound, this set brings 5 of your favorite heroes from G1 into the modern era. Again. Captain Kyle reviews these figures and compares them to the previous mold releases.
These five Autobots have proven troublesome for the Decepticons since they were first introduced in 1984. All these characters were initially part of the Generation One Series One line, which were repurposed Diaclone toys. However, these are quite different from the original releases. Jazz is a redeco of the Studio Series 86 Jazz. Sunstreaker, Trailbreaker, and Wheeljack are repaints of the War for Cybertron Kingdom versions. Hound, though, is only released in this mold in this set. He is a redeco of Detritus and was included after Target decided they didn’t want him as a Buzzworthy Bumblebee toy. Captain Kyle goes through each of these to see if the quality is there and if the deco might be good enough that you might want these for your collection.

The sad part is, I wouldn't be surprised if Hasbro began selling Transformers without any paint/deco/stickers in the next 5 years. They would market it as the next "Gunpla" gimmick for collectors to truly feel that they're creative, customizing all their over-priced collectables. You would see bullet points and buzzwords like, "expressive freedom" or "Added Value!"

If i had this set I'd want to have only jazz,trailbreaker, and sunstreaker and give wheeljack's blaster to elita one. I'll get individual on ebay hopefully for good price. Maybe keep Hound and give jackie to a friend.

If ordering off pulse it's worth trying the TF40 code, I managed to save a bit of money on the set bringing it to below £100

I think the new Sunstreaker looks excellent, love the new Jackie as well, Jazz still looks great. Not sold on the Hound though and that Trailbreaker and others from that mould look unfinished to me.

I wish they would issue mini character figures, but I guess they suckified ALL the windows on the animation series, so NO Chip you cant ride in Sunstreaker and look cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :(

I had to pass on this, i have 4/5 figures already. I did want that Hound but the cost can't be justified for just 1 character. Kinda find this set anti-collector knowing most would have 4/5 like me.
