A 1985 released Hong Kong film titled "The Illegal Immigrant 非法移民" (directed and produced by NYU film school students) was entirely created at locations in Manhattan's Chinatown. If you want to see Chinatown in 1984, the film can be viewed on Dailymotion in two parts with searches 非法移民A and 非法移民B.
A really informative and enjoyable walk! Thank you! Your narration as you walk along makes your videos very special as you give us an understanding of areas we may not be familiar with. Thanks for this visit to a place I have never been! Have a magnificent holiday!
Great Walk . 🚶♂🚶♂🚶♂🚶♂🚶♂🚶♂Hop Kee is the restaurant my father would take us to every time we would graduate from Junior High to High School and after we would graduate from High School. Also when my father would serve on jury duty he would stop there. I also like the information that you gave on this walk. 👍👍👍👍🙂
My mother has been residing at the Confucious plaza since 1980 ! I do my best to visit her 1-2x in NY , it’s so nice to see your video ! Thanks for sharing !
Noodle Town , best roast duck/chicken over rice. Only $8.50. Been eating there over 30yrs. Some great Fujianese (or Fukienese) restaurants on the eastside of Chinatown under and near to the Manhattan bridge.

14:50 I ate at The Original Buddha Bodai Kosher Vegetarian Restaurant 佛菩提 before! 😋 I don't see much Christmas decorations in Chinatown, but it was nice to see some familiar areas and the lively streets. 🙂 Thank you for sharing this informative walk, AK! 🤗
I love the video. Of course I love all your videos. But I hope you're having a wonderful absolutely wonderful holiday Christmas festivus. But why no live streams lately? Did they get you again about the music or something just wondering AK.
I used to go down to Mott Street for dim sum. I was surprised when they didn't understand my Mandarin. It's not good but good enough. I didn't realize that most people there spoke Cantonese.
Nom Wah was featured in a prestigious "Time Out Magazine" and now featured on a prestigious video stream.

Very good, glad you enjoyed this walk through Chinatown
When I lived in China, you would see Christmas decorations anytime of the year. There was no meaning to the decorations except that they looked nice.
Nice video, amazing walk tour in NYC Chinatown
Glad you enjoyed the video!
Must be nice to have a break from the Xmas things when heading to Chinatown - just to mix it up a bit
Merry Crismas Actionkid
