"Who puts a koi pond in a lobby?" Phyllis do be spittin facts doe...I love the fact this episode is based on an experience where one of the writers, Warren Lieberstein, actually fell into a koi pond on his way to a meeting
The fact that his attempt to light-heartedly "embrace the embarrassing" overshoots into the darkness of his loneliness, catching even himself off-guard: I was crying with laughter the first time I saw this.
Yeah he really is a good salesmen and it was most highlighted when he started his own company and it was selling not just because of the prices as shown in his standoff with dwight
That's how it goes in real life too. People who are good at their jobs get promoted out of the job they were good at and thrown into a role they are untrained and incapable of doing. Bad managers are born this way a lot of the time.

Michael : “In high school, the girls volleyball team use to throw me into a lake” Oh wow that’s embarrassing. “who are your 5 friends? I didn’t even know!” Oh my goodness 😳 “I guess I’m a loser. A looohoohooooser. Too far!” WOW
Gotta love how they tease you with that nice, clean resolution, and then immediately yank it away and make things even more cringy than they were before.
People found this scene priceless, but honestly this scene went from pretty funny to depressing and sad when Michael mentions that the high school girls volleyball team used to throw him into the lake and then reminisces of Jan and doesn’t have any friends. I mean, this scene really made me feel bad for Michael.😢😢😢😢😢
I like how at 0:56 when Michael says "I've been there before", Phyllis smiles and looks over her shoulder toward Meredith who is smiling. Jim too laughs and smiles, but Dwight is shaking his head thinking 'I don't like how this is going'.
This makes me sad. Michael is great and I love how he views his co workers as family. It’s just sad when they are not nice to him. Here tho they are nice but Michael didn’t realize🥺
When Creed has a worried face, you know something's going wrong
He was probably worried because he didn't recognize Michael and was probably confused as to why he was there in the first place.
@@delt19 LMAO

Imagine in an alternate universe, Michael had a ponytail on The Office.
Ok
Now what
He did. If you watch the flashbacks again from the time he was a salesman with packaging@dundermifflin they took a pic
He did! When Michael first started at Dunder Mifflin he has a picture with him and Ed Truck and he is rocking a pony tail and fanny pack.

Yeah but I heard he went to prison for kidnapping the president's son. Never got caught though
