    Excellent video! I laughed out loud a couple of times which I did not expect when researching whether I should buy this butter dish. Subscribed and I hope you keep going!

    I am a professional studio potter and back in the 70s the French butter keeper was all the rage. I think it’s time I start making them again.

    Just get ordinary butter, mix in a small amount of olive oil (ex virg. of course!) and mix. Stick it in the fridge. Perfect!

    Slippy... Oh my Lord I despise people saying slippy.
    It's, slippery.

    With our shared irritation of the way communication is going these days, we could be brothers. Don't forget to add vocal fry to your list. I don't find anything on earth as painful as that contagious habit.
    As for the butter dish I used to have one. Worked very well, though it eventually died. I thought they went out of business but obviously they're back so I'll buy another, and this time I'll be more careful with the maintenance of it and regularly clean out the dust underneath.

    • @arlo.guthrie
      @arlo.guthrie  4 года назад +1

      I'm trying to figure out what you mean by 'vocal fry' or if it's an autocorrect thing. My current bête noire is 'onboarding', the new word for familiarising, where someone has taken a perfectly serviceable prepositional phrase, and turned it into a verb. It's like fingernails on a blackboard.

    • @lumabi25
      @lumabi25 4 года назад

      @@arlo.guthrie Vocal Fry is a term used for that croaky, laryngitis-resembling sound that mostly comes from young women these days, though men are not immune. You'll have undoubtedly heard it before, mostly at the end of sentences. To be honest if this trend doesn't die out soon, I may have to live on Mars. For me it's worse than fingernails on a blackboard.

    A difficult to balance four-circle Venn Diagram of butter: ambient room temperature, desire for spreadable butter, spreadable butter, butter longevity. I can see why this product solution is out of stock.
