    This is the most satisfying unboxing video I've ever watched. Please unbox all things with a soundtrack from now on. I'm talking phones, LEGO sets, kitchen appliances, all that good stuff. Maybe synths and modules I guess but only if you, ya know, wanted to. I'm not the boss of you. Anyway this was delightful. Love it

    A pan head screw is one that has a dome like head as opposed to a tapered one like \---/ which is countersunk.

    This is awesome! And the music you just created with it, is freaking beautiful!

      Thanks. I was surprised at how good it sounded, especially through that Microcosm. It inspired two new musical pieces within a matter of a couple hours.

      @@Lightbath indeed! I wasn't too curious about that Microcosm until I saw this video tho, so thanks for sharing that!

    Lol, both you and Jeremy Blake were stumped by the metal tab.

      Ha. Yeah, I think that maybe the manual is outdated or something.

    Just to think if my mum hadn't got me that chemistry kit I might be a musician now.

    Panhead is a screw head shape where the bottom of the head is flat and the top is a pancake shape. Usually phillips, but can be anything like star or allen shape. Compare it to a countersunk head where the bottom is conical and the top flat.

      Oh, cool. I started to wonder if it had to do with those dimensions. Thanks!

    Wait what is the input for the Werkstatt coming from? And what is the input telling it?

    • @Lightbath
      @Lightbath  3 года назад

      Ah, I used a sequence on the Monome Ansible to tell it to make sweet, sweet music.

    enjoyed the unboxing as much as the demo, is that ok?

    This just reminded me that the mother 32 has higher octaves than where I usually keep it

    • @Lightbath
      @Lightbath  4 года назад +2

      Oh, yeah. What I didn't mention in the video is one of the coolest features of the Werkstatt: when you play a key, it transposes the sequence to that root note! So you can give it a V/OCT sequence and then offset it by pressing on a different key.

    What did you plug those cv cables into?

    • @Lightbath
      @Lightbath  Год назад

      Pretty sure it was Monome’s Ansible Eurorack module with a Monome Grid attached to it.

    What are the odds that you and Jade Wii would upload a DIY and review video of the exact same piece of equipment at the exact same moment? :-o

    • @Lightbath
      @Lightbath  4 года назад +2

      Yes, Moog commissioned an armful of creators for their Werkstatt rollout.

    Putting my experts hat on this thing look just so limited. You have to have ADSR can't have a little a r....
    Yet in reality when people who know what they're doing try these little boxes of Wonder it just shows how wonderful they sound.
    I'm getting to think I actually need one
