The MW2 crashes, timeouts, dev errors, AI luck, all really get unbelievable sometimes. You were 10ft from that final bag and it disconnected. Assume you had to go out and get the keys again since whenever crashes happen, MW2 likes to punish players by not keeping any of the gear they had pre-crash
The punishment is good. It forces players to exfil. If you could just keep items pre-crash then everyone would get the good stuff and then "accidentally crash"
There’s definitely more steps to this, why would the note say “this mystery is still being investigated” It would be cool if it’s and actual Easter egg and once completed it turns all the AI into zombies, because that skull looks a lot like the Insta Kill drop in zombies .

Did you do a full 360 inspection around the skull to see if it had any visible glyphs on the in game model? Might be a genuine easteregg that the community needs to solve. E.g map coords ect. Also I know it's a scummy tactic in warzone right now but if you hold your revive pistol out underwater you can't drown! Might be useful for those trying to find the Hull. :)!

I found a golden skull the third floor of room 302 in the hotel where you have to extract the golden .50 GS. I believe it was identical. Maybe there is a few other golden skulls laying around not just that one?
The one in the hotel room is just a "plain" gold skull, i.e. there are no glyphs on it. Also it's only worth 12 grand whereas this secret one with the glyphs is worth 25 grand.
I wish you could press the "read" button when holding the skull to inspect it and see the glyphs. If you drop it in game and try to look at it you can't see anything lol.

I definitely think there is more to this especially having played zombies for so many years this for sure seems like an unfinished EE I saw someone suggest looking at the skull with thermal for the glyphs or setting it on fire but I think the hint is in the name since its the skull of an al bagra minor I think there could be more to this EE somewhere in the al bagra underground fortress maybe there’s a secret place to put it down that activates something or maybe theres a secret room down there idk anyway just throwing some ideas out there love the video man I hope they keep adding stuff like this to the game 🤘🏻

This is why I wish that we could have a cache of items, instead of them being converted to cash when we extract. It wouldn’t completely break the game either because you would be able to build up items, why not cash that is converted to items?
I found a £25K golden skull in a random ground hidden stash between rohan oil and the caves. Just wandering along minding my own business and there it was. LOL. I've also swam out to that ship a few times when I have spawned without weapons there is usually some loot.

There is at least 2 other little stories like this. One starts in the taraq smugglers office and the other in the Police academy private locker room. Both of those locations have keys to other places and notes as well.

I'm not a DMZ expert, but those sunken ship keys don't seem to be the rarest, as I have 3 of them. I don't have multiples of any other key aside from the sunken ship key either.

Me and my friends have struggled doing some missions, we arent pros at playing this game, but the insane aggressive bots kills me, like literally kills my soul sometimes, its super annoying and they even agro when you are far far away also.

I found the thiefs cache key in the very beginning of DMZ, but its not legendary/gold backround, its just a regulat key it looks like. Is there a difference? I still have the key and then i know if i hold on to it for now

I found the thiefs casche key in an orange crate last night. When I dove down to use it, I first opened a crate before seeing the bag. I died.
I looted the thief’s cache the run I randomly found the key, I extracted the skull and everything and thought nothing of it lol
