What doesn’t get mentioned in the “record without Brady” is the QBs he had without Brady. Bernie Kosar, washed Cam Newton, Mac Jones, Bailey Zappe, and Matt Cassel. The best of those is Cassel who he went 11-5 with, they missed the Playoffs because of a complete fluke of tiebreakers and the Wildcat. Also Nick needs to stop trying to shoehorn Reid into this. Reid is miles away from catching Belicheck. And I don’t get why people use Deflategate against him when one, that was mostly attributed to Brady, and two, anyone with common sense can look back and see how nonsensical of a “scandal” that was, and how most of it was Goodell regretting not severely punishing him for Spygate.
Yes the patriots cheated players got suspended and the franchise lost draft picks cuz of it. Reid has brought multiple franchises in multiple conferences to super bowls. Andy has done nothing but win, even without Patrick. What has Bill done without Brady? Nothing! Reid is the 🐐

I would argue Brady had a HoF career just in TB! 2020 - They didn't really start winning until he forced his way with the offense after the bye week. They never lost again. SB Champ. 2021 - Lost Div round to the Rams but might have won that if not for a boneheaded zero blitz defensive play to let Kupp get behind them for the walk-off FG, 2022 - Only made it to the Wildcard but Brady was 45 at that point and the team diminishing. That would be HoF worthy for anyone IMO.

What makes belichick 100x as dominant as Reid is the fact that he dominated multiple eras of the nfl. Reid only started winning. Super bowls when the league moved to offense. Belichick dominated in defensive era and offensive era

They all had awesome coaches too and won far less. So I don’t think it’s fair to downplay Bill just because he had Brady.
Agreed. But the difference with Brady is that he was not only a clutch player but also one of the best relationships guys. Brady kept those teams together by building relationships to make it work, something Bill is not as great at. That skill set became even more evident when he went to the Bucs, where he basically became a part-time coach and GM, totally changing the team culture within one year. It doesn't mean Brady could have done all he did in his career without Bill, but it does show that Brady became more than just a great QB.
@@scratchpenny Brady would've been great without Bill IF he ever got the opportunity to play. Bill gave him the chance to be great. Not many coaches have the balls to hand the keys to a 7th rounder when they have a franchise QB on the roster. Especially when the team was championship-caliber. Most other great QBs go to bad teams, and 7th round QBs usually go to great teams and just waste away on the bench. Brady hit the jackpot going to a team where the coach didn't give a f*ck if you were a pro-bowler... he'd sit you or cut you. He did it to McGinest, Moss, Welker, Ty Law, Lawyer Milloy, Welker, Moss, Vinatieri, and many others. Brady did his thing in Tampa, but even then, the Bucs fell apart in 3 years. That's the Bill difference. The Pats had sustained excellence for 20+ years because of Bill's navigation of tough roster decisions every single year. Bill's ability to get guys on the cheap over and over and over while also replenishing lost talent is incredible. Brady wants to be cool with pretty much all his teammates. If it had been up to Brady, no moves would've been made and their dynasty would've died like so many others, when they buckle under the weight of the salary cap. That's not Brady's fault, he's the ultimate teammate, but you can't be nice to everyone in a league that pushes for so much turnover to encourage parity.
@@THE_BEAR_JEW Fair enough. And I don't think Brady was the only essential factor. But he was undervalued by Bill in NE over the last few years. Bill still saw Brady as just a player that was getting older. But The Patriot Way doesn't really work without Brady on board. And it wasn't just because they lacked his superior QB play. Bill didn't realize how much he needed Brady to be the relationship guy/leader to keep everything together. So, if Bill was the most crucial guy at 1a, Brady was 1b. And that's because Brady became more than just a great player later in his career. That's why he had such an immediate impact on Tampa. It's why the owner of the Bucs turned to Brady and said that he "showed them the way" right after the Super Bowl win. The owner knew that Brady brought more to the table than playing QB. If Belichick had realized this and given Brady a little more control/autonomy, Brady probably would have stayed, and Bill would still have his job.

Is there any coach that didn’t build a great career by having great athletes on their roster ? Then didn’t struggle when the great players left teams ?
The issue is that he is the one building the roster, and he has not been drafting great players. Zero players from the first three rounds of the draft have resigned with the team in a decade. If you cant draft great players, and keep them, your results will not be very good.
No that’s how sports works, and it’s such a point when people make the argument against it . “Good players and coaches win” , like yeah that’s kinda the point. They wouldn’t be considered good if they didn’t win
@@tyl8770 imo there’s other motivations to drafting players that outsiders don’t know about. Some coaches hate young players and just draft within family members or extended family friends. brady was the most important part cause bill’s best player was his hardest working & the first in the building & last to leave. when you had new players they had no excuse to slack cause the oldest player & the most accomplished player is the hardest working on the team. bill could focus all on the defense cause he knew brady & mcdaniels etc could get the job done to the typical standard. bill took that situation for granted. he can’t upkeep a team cause he can’t keep a QB.. overrated?? maybe

THE GREATEST SHOW I HAVE SEEN THE TRIO AMIGOS EVER DO! Cogent analysis through insightful arguments. Showcasing their personalities via their idiosyncrasies. Big fan
Andy reid
@@dbmagee21Andy Reid got Mahomes fam lmao
No that’s how sports works, and it’s such a point when people make the argument against it . “Good players and coaches win” , like yeah that’s kinda the point. They wouldn’t be considered good if they didn’t win
@@tyl8770 imo there’s other motivations to drafting players that outsiders don’t know about. Some coaches hate young players and just draft within family members or extended family friends. I wouldn’t hold that against him. His free agent signings are more of an indication of the type of player he can succeed with.
All-time great show incoming
Nicks takes were pretty fire this episode
Nick’s thinking on the fly is amazing 😂
simply the best, better than all the rest
12:18 no because all 4 of Andy’s rings will be with Pat. Bringing up the success with other QB doesn’t stick because he never won a ring with them
God speed,Bellichick & God bless your family, Robert Kraft, & d Patriots!
Wildes 🎤 DROP!!!
14:37
Bill Belichick has 8 ! YES 8 ! ! ! RINGS
Wilds comment about the hall of fame career difference was totally on point
Love Nick
I’m 24, the patriots have been great literally all my life.
Have to give props to give props again to the energy and flow of the show to have the three male host freely interject and move around the discussion versus the standard two male host with the female topic Bridge makes this show refreshing
Adam Vinatieri had a big part in the Patriots success in the early years, especially kicking the 45 yarder in the snow and the winning kick in overtime against the Raiders!
Taking a look back on NFL history, Belichick's 6 championships are tied for most all-time, as a Head Coach, with Curley Lambeau and George Halas.
Nick does such a good job on topics like these
What a great show!😅
brady was the most important part cause bill’s best player was his hardest working & the first in the building & last to leave. when you had new players they had no excuse to slack cause the oldest player & the most accomplished player is the hardest working on the team. bill could focus all on the defense cause he knew brady & mcdaniels etc could get the job done to the typical standard. bill took that situation for granted. he can’t upkeep a team cause he can’t keep a QB.. overrated?? maybe
Brady got to choose the team he wanted after the Patriots, now Bill can also,we might see if it was Bill, Tom, or both 💯✅
Bill taught Brady so much. They fail to realize this
Why hasn't he taught anyone else??😹
Wildes is so thoughtful in this segment. Love it.
Bill-Brady is like Phil-Michael. They make each other.
Finally - Belichick is the GOAT, but Andy Reid is knocking on the door...and has had some success without Mahomes.
Except Phil went and won almost the same amount of Rings without Michael.
@@MrCrisisZ Absolutely but if you think mac jones and Zeke are equivalent to Shaq and Kobe you should quit sports. 😂
Andy Reid is 33% of the way to Bill's legacy (really 25% because Bill actually has 8 rings). Sit down and play your iPad young buck 😂
@@soxfan252434 I’m 40, old man. I’m just cooler than you. Rings aren’t everything. See: MJ vs Bill Russell.
Yeah... Shouldn't have engaged. I regret it alot. Andy Reid is the GOAT. 2 and 8 are basically the same thing. Very good take!
I agree with wildes, Bill is the best and he'll always be the best. What he did as a coach is more than just wins and loses that we need to put in more perspective than just wether than who was more essential "him or brady"
Your guy costs your guy 😂
Belichiks greatest accomplishment was making the playoffs with Mac Jones. Forever the GOAT because of that.
I can definitely see Belichick on the Cowboys
Nick gave a great idea. 5 years from now, we need a movie about Belichick’s career..
It's not 6 Super Bowls,it is 9 ,,6 wins!9 appearances in a 20 year period,he is GOAT no questions, that is almost every other year in the Bowl
24 years with the pats and 9 appearances, it's the most impressive but it's not almost every either year, it's almost every other third year
Bill hasn't even left the building and you guys are signing him up with every team in the league .SMH!
Imagine Bill teaming up with Andy Reid as a defensive coordinator 😂
The chiefs would probably win 10 super bowls....
The first 11 days of 2024 have been filled with top-tier storylines and truth serum like no other. 😅😅😅😅
They act like bill doesn’t have 2 super bowls without Brady
not as HC
@@morningmadera does that matter? Having 8 Super Bowl rings is still 8 Super Bowl rings.
Name me 1 person that has more since it’s apparently easy to do
God bless ❤ much love to you all
Kraft made a HUGE mistake!
Bill to Nashville
NASHVILLE BILL!
Nick killed it
Im an eagles fan and I'd take Belichick sooooo fast without a second thought
Wilds Is Tv Gold
Nick pretending that he was close when he said a few hundred thousand is such a testament to his “New Years Resolution”
Every single NFL offense has elements of Bill Walsh's revolutionary offense. Belicheck may have a better resume, but Andy Reid ?! Nah IF it's not Belicheck it reverts to Walsh
Is anyone really surprised that Nick doesn't think that Andy Reid has to get to 6 SBs.
How clever!
I agree with Kevin’s line of thinking. Together they were great ..no need to overanalyze it
“I don’t think you need the 6 SuperBowls” is such a crazy sentence? 😂😅
Like bro when are you ever going to say that again about a coach??
Brou has a point
I’m glad Wildes remembers these facts now. It would have been great if he’d reminded the audience some of these things these past 4 years as the media was busy tearing belichick and the Patriot Way down.
Thought the title said "vaccines"
