I noticed that the toxicity getting out of head that amount of people telling each end their life or saying hateful things to each other. In copycat, I was jumped because I defended someone, and they all got mad at me saying hateful things to me just because I defend someone like people need to realize it game people who tell other to end their life over a game need help this behavior needs to stop. It is sad that people would do any just to get clipped to ruin someone day for 5 minutes fame is ridiculous. I'm even scared to play hunter because I'll get bullied for not being good. I just want to play. good thing I met nice people but also mean people :(
I understand thsi so much,, if you’re really worried abt hunter you can turn off your post chat when you’re playing hunter but yeah I get that ALOT I’m horrible at hunter T_T
@@livingdeaddolliemost communities r like this ur always gonna see toxic players in a game thats competitive. Theres never a game that has rank where people isnt toxic. I aint trying to defend toxicity but it happens way often than u think. Ofc theres also many that r nice

all i really have to say about the subject is that though i've encountered quite a bit of nastiness on this game, it doesn't even remotely compare to where i came from (dead by daylight)
your voice is very pretty and calming, i agree. i remember saying "its never that serious" in cc bc i was cc lying abt my role, i said i was friar everyone believed me and the actual friar got shot by hunter for "lying"😭😭 but yea i got bashed in pm for lying like thats what your supposed to do as cc...honeslty the idv community from what ive seen is really nice just every couple of matches theres that one person but its been SO MUCH more toxic, i remember duoing in rank with a friend even though we usually 4 stack to avoid randoms, i popped the cipher so the random wouldnt go down to chip(it was gk) anf the other person sat there confused emoting so they both got put in basement and blamed it on me and sat in pm for like 30 minutes complaining, INCLUDING THE HUNTER. it is never that serious please just take a break if you ever get that frustrated, goes for everyone.😭😭
Yeah, the toxicity is insane... I remember toxicity being a thing when I played back in 2020, but I don't ever recall it being THIS bad. I came back to IDV this year to play with my friend and it's wild how much toxicity we see on the daily. Literally had someone nag him for "throwing" and refusing to help him. He is a worker bee learning the game and his characters. It was quick match.
It was honestly so insane and as much as we laugh it off, I'm concerned about some of the younger and more impressionable people in the community :( That behavior shouldn't be replicated, and it most definitely shouldn't be used towards others. You never know what someone is going through behind that screen. It's a game at the end of the day, and we have a responsibility to be kind to everyone regardless of performance. If you're at a point where your rage towards a game seeps into your interactions with other people, it may be time to reassess your priorities and do some reflection.

I recently had a copycat match where I was sus of the sheriff player, and was shot by them out in the open in the dining room. The worst part was that no one was reporting our bodies, and instead were just spamming emotes. I literally broke down crying after that. It was so frustrating to be subject to that kind of behavior.

thankfully, I've never gotten extreme hate in idv, so ive never gotten that negative feeling. However, it sucks that people are so hateful that they need to try to bring others down too.
and in post match it's ok to be like "idk abt that rescue but your gameplay was pretty good!..." but it's not to full on BASH people like ive seen. (._.) I think some ppl also forget. It's. A. Game. Its not that serious!
I’ve been called the r slur more times than id like to count in the past month between copycat and rank ,, but overall i just notice how negative some of the community can be towards themselves and other people
This video will unfortunately not help. I will admit things have gotten worse but every online game will have toxic people.
Here are some tips
-Don't play copycat if you can't deal with the possibility of people being toxic. Unfortunately people have made idv accounts, just to annoy people on that mode. They don't even play the main game.
-Ignore English chat, if you know about flesh chat then go there as it's more chill
- Turn on the option to automatically leave post match chat
- Take breaks and log off if you get heated. Mental health comes first
The main problem with copycat is grown people especially grown men making weird behaviour to minors knowing they are not confortable and still continue. When i point this out ofc theyll go against me but either way its the truth. Idv hasnt moderated voice chat properly and never will. Theyre just money hungry and isnt doing what theyre suppoused to do
Yeah i get what ur saying when copycat first got released i was very happy to play it but then when people started getting clipped on tiktok or Twitter, it got really toxic and most of the matches were people saying outrageous things and being asses so i don't really play it now, and i agree it's really sad that content creators like zeez get hated on for just being normal and not godly at a game like they can learn! and the poor dude seems so broken about it
I always try to be as nice and polite as i can be in qm or rank (unless the person deserves a quick smackdown) but I'll never understand why people tell others to kys it's just mean and sad and hopefully people learn better 🤝

I notice it happening more in 2v8 too and I definitely think it’s because of copycat
I called a slur for playing patty and it was two people. they was calling me monkey and got mad when I didn't want to save them from the chair.
I didn’t get it as bad but I got a lot of unnecessary hate in friendly matches (with the hunter getting toxic to me) because I was playing edgar. They stated it was because he (edgar) is British and like 💀💀💀 kinda silly because I’m also a britt like is there an issue with IDV and Brit’s too?
But ngl your experience sounds like hell, hope you are fine after that incident 😭

@@ttgriffin2045 exactly 😭😭😭 like thankfully the team was also confused and helped me escape by body blocking for me. But the hunter was all like ‘because you’re basic and yt’ (white bc ig it’s a slur) and just went on and on about how they hate white britts it was so goofy 😭😭😭

I once saw someone ask who is the american in postmatch (probably an european that got bad ping for getting put in NA servers), and the second the american said he is the original guy started to get very racist and throw every bad word in the dictionary from a to z. All over yellow ping instead of green, and it wasnt even something in the american's control
Once during a copycat match I was the fool and the phantom thief swapped places with me. I went back to the room i was in and saw the copycat leave so called a meeting. None of the others believed me so I got annoyed and told them to just vote me then and see what happens- because im fool. After the meeting the sheriff came after me. I ran away and hid behind a group (ada emil and female dancer) because i didnt want to die. They started calling me sus and telling me to go away. The copycat then entered the room and killed the sheriff before the sheriff could kill me and called a meeting.
The copycat then confessed that yeah theyre the copycat and theyre giving up because the other copycat (the ada) wasnt helping and was just having a family roleplay with an Emil and a female dancer all match (which i actually did witness). The copycat also mentioned that they feel bad for me and I told them that I feel bad for them too and told the others that this isnt a family simulator and to not play copycat if theyre not here to play the game.
The family roleplayers then got defensive and the female dancer then started screaming rly mean things over her mike to the copycat. I'll admit that I did throw fuel on the fire by not taking her seriously and telling her to stop doing drugs but I instantly stopped with that behaviour when the female dancer told the other copycat (who was still being respectful) to self delete.
After the meeting it turned out the female dancer was hunter because she ran up and killed the copycat in the dining room. They then called a meeting and started yapping about how much they hated them and hate me too and that its just a game and we all need to calm down. I responded that they were the one screaming over their mike and making life threats to the other copycat. They then denied making such threats, at first saying they dont remember what they said and then claiming that they have trauma surrounding that topic and would never say something like that. I heard them say it clearly, i wouldn't be taking the situation so seriously otherwise. And then the Emil defended her by saying that the other copy cat was pretty much asking for it. I called both him and the female dancer disgusting.
We then voted off the Ada and the match ended. I argued with the female dancer a bit during post match, reported them for the things they said to the copycat and then left the game. I havent had another situation like that since but im still really angry about it. Saying things like that to people isnt funny, ive had it said to me before on idv and it nearly made me cry. I hope the copycat is okay wherever they are.

@@livingdeaddollie Thank you. I should find and add the copycat to check up on them when I can. I normally just mock those kinds of players and tell the rest of the players to vote them off so that we can play in peace but I couldn't even do that because the female dancer was being too insensitive, two people were on their side and the extra person who I didn't mention was neutral on the matter and didn't say or do anything helpful. My little sister goes through similar things on roblox every other day so I guess this is just something you have to expect from online games, especially as they grow.

All the toxic players gather here at this one game because all their fucking money is thrown at the devs for an overpriced skin and then they act all entitled or they just take the game too seriously like they're in some esports tournament. I'm telling you this game actually destroys people's mental health my friend literally cried because she kept getting harassed by jackasses who thought she was throwing the game IN A QUICKPLAY MATCH
