  • A rather peculiar combo of electronic sounds and metal fragrances if you ask us. Groovy, catchy, and weird all they way.

Damn this was so weird... but in a good way I guess😅
That song kept teasing us with metal part but almost immediately go back to electro stuff!🤣 am do confuse but it’s really not bad at all!! It really kicked near the end and I was headbanging so hard haha!
You both did an amazing review on that as well! (As always!)
It’s cool that you are exploring with other « genre » of song than our typical metal stuff!🤘

Not just weird... ELECTRO-weird. Glad you could head-bang to it, for the most part I was just like "processing...". Thank you again so much for being here and for being AWESOME!!! Think we'll go back to metal stuff next. 🤣🤣🤣 /Andrei

Hey guys!!🤘🏻 ... well I agree it was a weird attempt at electro metal, had a changed as the minutes went by, (I'm not a music expert) experimental.
His reaction was entertaining, it cost to process it 😅

Great to see this one pop up, also the majority of my recommends are more traditional than this, just to let you breathe a sigh of relief. I thought this might be fun as something kind of partially in your wheelhouse but very different. This is kind of what I would say is Irving's transition into more directly metal stuff. I kind of just classify him as 'Irving Force, cool experimenty metal techno guy' but I think loosely he qualifies as synthwave though he is on the experimental fringe of that too. He's tagged himself on Bandcamp as Synth Metal. This and the following singles he's put out since have a more cut up, edited and breakbeaty electronic metal sound rather than his earlier Godmode LP which I would kind of describe as 'cinematic electro with metal guitars', 'Send Him In' or 'Violence Suppressor' would be the cuts to try off that. It's more like the central riff breakdown here running throughout the full song. I was really interested you picked up on the drone/doom aspects of some of the slower parts, as he is also part of a doom metal band who are bringing out an LP soon.
Sidebar this is a song I found was really a grower. It's a bit of a mental overload the first loop of it. I found it interesting how you actually stopped the video literally a split second before the main guitar drop hit, because the first time I heard it I did feel myself that it was kind of teasing, then that enormous guitarline hit and I was like 'Yo I pretty much dig this very much!'. This was the first track I ever heard of his but I found it so hypnotic 2 hours later I'd bought a ton of his stuff lol.
Great vid as always, and as a synth electro and metal head, I super appreciate you uploading this one :)

Well you've always been in the comments so we obviously had to feature one of your suggestions. Admittedly I didn't get mesmerized by this like you did, but I have to admit it's pretty creative. Glad to know my bro picked up on the doomy vibe properly. I wouldn't have noticed it myself. And yeah, that pause there wasn't intentional, this stuff just happens. Thanks for being here bro, we appreciate it. /Andrei

By the time I found Irving I was already pretty much entrenched in synthwave so I probably found a fair bit of the weirder parts here more immediately accessible than someone would coming it into cold. He's probably one of the most recent artists in this genre I've got into aside from Elay Arson and Golconda. Golconda are like this but much more 'standard metal' in their use of guitar parts. There's a lot of things you and George observed I thought were really interesting things to note and angles I'd not quite seen as someone who's not 'fresh' to this kind of music, for instance there is a kind of 'just starting out' Devin Townsendy vibe to a lot of his music's mannerisms. Often in his stuff I hear a bit of a 'City' era SYL influence.
Again many thanks, and keep up the great work :)
