I don't....I don't know how I feel about them remaking Time Bandits. I love Lisa Kudrow but the original had a certain dark comedy feel to it that I can't see her pulling off.

Last time I recall the Time Bandits, the Dwarfs was all Dwarfs? And whats with the Rock scene as that water titan. I don't recall the film him saying much. Typical Taika Waititi to ruin a classic.

"Why" -- because movies like those on this list are largely watched by the younger generation, and they did not grow up with the originals. Just as I didn't want to watch my parent's favorite movies from the 60s and 70s (camera work, acting style, actors I didn't know), kids today don't want to watch their parents' movies from the 1990s and 2000s. It's not new to you. It's new to them.

Prometheus was good imo though. But the others were meh

casting lisa kudrow in time bandits s a stroke of genius, but this film will have to work very hard to overcome the magic, sweetness and originality of the original version. are little people politically incorrect now? they did a similar thing with the disney live action snow white.
We need people to develop a thick skin. hypersensitivity and fault finding in everything is not going to make the world a better place
There's one scene in the Gladiator, it's the final battle while being surrounded by Roman legionsoldiers, that made it epic.

I saw the original time bandits in movie theater in the 80s. . I hope the remake will be as good, however we all know how remakes dishonor the original.
