    I think Yohan wants to be acknowledged like Usain , Asafa, Shelly ann. He wants Jamaica to erect a statue like they have done for these athletes, he wants to be in the lime light like he was in 2012. The reason why Yohan is where he is today is because he doesnt like to listen to good advice . Bolt said it , that even his coach he dosent like to listen to , The primary reason why he got that major injury, was because he was over training his body. After a training session , the body needs rest to recover and this he would not do, so now he is getting frustrated because he is trying to get back to the form he had in 2012, but try as he may , it just wont happen

    I believe that Jamaica Athletes deserve more respect,in if some country produce athletes like Jamaica these athletes would be much much richer, to date Jamaica did not Name a National monument after any Jamaican athletes,I guess the Government want there names on these monuments instead of our Great athletics

    • @edwardsewell8366
      @edwardsewell8366 Месяц назад +1

      Chatting bollocks!
      "if some countries produce athletes like Jamaica, these athletes would be much richer"
      This is a preposterous piece of statement.
      It exposes your ignorance about economics.
      There are a lot of rich and super rich countries in the world. Jamaica is not even in the top 10 richest in the Caribbean, ask Barbados and Bahamas to confirm this.
      Countries are consider rich by their Gdp, however a rich country can have a very low cost of living. Example Qatar average pay for immigrant doing deliveries on bikes and scooters are US $300 per month. Plus overtime. Qatar is richer than Great Britain yet the cost of living in Gb is much HIGHER. AT LEAST £88. Per day for a 7hrs job in Gb that's roughly £1,600 per month. (5days per week).
      It has to do with the currency, cost of living and the type of job.. Sport ppl usually get more than all sectors depends on how famous the athletes are, and what feat they have accomplished.
      Jamaica has no money to pay their athletes.
      If sfp wins the bigger race of her life and Jamaica pays her she gets let's say JA $10m.
      Dina Asher Smith wins the bigger race of her life same as sfp Great Britain pays £10m which is why the bigger the currency the richer the athlete. Dina asher Smith net worth far way more than sfp net worth.
      Grace Kennedy cannot pay Sfp the same amount Muller group pays Dina to advertise yogurt.
      So you saying that is so wrong. If these Jamaican athlete were running for Mexico, Venezuela, the Gambia they would be far way poorer.
      £50 is equivalent to 257 Qatari Riyal.
      So an immigrant from Jamaica working in Qatar on a salary of £160 /300$us couldn't by an ice cream or do nothing in Jamaica, might as well they come bk home.

    I agree with Yohan 100% because who feels it knows it and we are misunderstanding what he his saying he is not saying the entire Jamaica doesn't care it's just how we Jamaicans talk we normally generalize even when we referring to one thing and am sure he his more referring to the Jamaica athletic federation not the population remember elsewhere in the world they take care of their athletes weather they win or lose our athletes have to take care of themselves Luckly some have a contract and Yohan is not the first and only athletes who said it many more and recently at the trials we saw Omar Mcleod share the same sentiment but it's just the wider public interpretating it wrong and over they years we have seen the negative comments against our athletes when they underperform so lets not be hypocrites we also help to tear the athletes down
