I was there 2 weeks ago. Almost no tourists, friendly locals, and walking through the ancient lanes was the closest I felt to the centuries of inhabitants. It was a bit off the beaten path, but so worth going and spending the night. Also had the best dinner of my entire trip in Volterra!
Was there a month ago, it’s not a secret, the crowds where insane! Lol Absolutely stunning city, full of history. San Gimignano was my favourite Tuscan village! Great video!

I think, that this flowers are no poppies, but : Italian clover or Crimson Clover- Trifolium incarnatum (eine Rotklee-Art).
Famous in Italy for Alabaster=Alabastro
