Interesting, I kinda want to find a local rifle competition. Never knew airsoft matches were so similar to live fire maches. This might be good to lookup. Thanks for showing this!
I tried action air at the Target Shooting Show not long ago... It is FUN and way cheaper than running LBP. Perfect "gateway drug", as someone warned me :-)
You should see Asian IPSC Action Air competition looks like. They took it very serious. Because its hard to get a real fire arms in Asia so we use Airsoft as IPSC match every year.
You would be surprised how much punishment a gas magazine can take on concrete. Generally there is a technique to dropping them on their bases and adding upgrade parts to improve rigidity.
Wow that actually looks pretty close to the 3 gun pistol stages. Is there any restrictions on or different classes for air pistols that can be used, magazine capacity, optics or only iron sights etc. . ?
i wouldent toss an airgun magazine like a real magazine. the bb gun magazines are a lot more complicated from the gas system in them and tossing them on conrete is a great way to have them start leaking and stop working
They're better built than you think. Everyone was doing exactly the same at this match, there were some cushioned bins but if you're going for the fastest it seems quicker not to use them.
Good job Callum looks great fun I remember doing something like this using my trusty browning 9mm but it was outdoors got a certificate for it when I looked at the date 1986 couldn’t believe it was that long ago😧 oh yes can you apologise to conners on the live stream calling him Callum.😊
I am from India and really interested in IPSC. Due to the gun laws, I will have to take up Air category for now. But I am not sure how to get started. Can someone please guide me? I tried contacting the IPSC federation, but got no replies yet.
I was using a WE Glock, but Hi Capa's are the most popular it would seem. There are people traveling all over the country for these matches. Join the EnglishShooting and UKPSA Facebook group if you haven't already, there will be a few in them that can help with travel.
I would like to try this, as I am currently ineligible for an FAC due to health reasons. Do you know anywhere in Sussex/Hampshire that offers Action Air?
You could come for a taster session or to complete your UKPSA competition license at Blue Fieldsports based just outside Winchester. We have a range of Action Air guns to try!
It's not a license to own, it's a license to compete, like a racing licence. Although "imitation firearms" require a UKARA card to buy unless they are painted a bright colour.
@@EnglishShooting so how do you buy a toy gun if you're not into airsoft? Can you get a ukara "license" if you just wanna buy a toy gun for action air ipsc?
@@coolbreezetg6 I think you're being specific and trying to twist the context. You are looking for someone to shout UKARA. Well guess what, the law is restrictive on the sale of replica imitation firearms. If you purchase a replica that is brightly colored then there is no issue with a proof of excemption which is what UKARA was designed to cover. Action Air License? It's actually an IPSC Competition License that covers the discipline. There is one for every discipline such as shotgun, rifle, handgun and mini rifle. This is to stop people misrepresenting and to properly teach and maintain a standard for IPSC shooting. All shooting sports have a similar system involving having the credentials to compete at a high level after passing training.
This is a joke. We're having to run around with toy airsoft guns at ranges because we've had our rights taken from us. It must look ridiculous to the rest of the world. Good video on the subject but I would have preferred it if I could have seen some footage without narrating all over it.
Did a taster three years back at the Grange, just sent a message to my pals to try and get to a beginner session. Thanks for the push!

It's a slippery slope from here 😉
This was a great level 3. Nice to see you enjoyed the match :D
Take it we will be seeing you at more action air matches?
It was awesome, and great to catch up with you there!
I'll be at many more matches in the future that's for sure!
Heck I'm building towards an SGC/FAC and I currently casually shoot a PPK/S in .177BB... it soooo sweeeeet...

So how many magazines did you trash over the day? They don't take to being dropped in the same way you would a firearm magazine 😉
They all survived I’m pleased to say, a few more scuffs and dents in them though 😂

It looks like great fun and I would like to try this. Nice video!
Thanks! You’ll have an awesome time!
YESSSSSSS Finally an english speaking video about action air.
A really good video and it looked liked great fun.
Thanks, glad you liked it!

It is far closer than I thought it would be. IPSC is a lot more restrictive than 3 Gun, but share similar devisions / classes.

Those were the days! Even if it was before I was born 😂No problem, it happens all the time!
EnglishShooting yes they were the days when you compare it to today, still it could be worse Jeremy Corbin could have got in power, good old Boris.👌
People like you need to remember it was the f*c king conservatives who banned ownership of self loading rifles and then pistols
This looks like fun..
It very much is!
You only gain better performance when you keep doing the sport or activities you want to better at.
and that's why I plan to do lots more of it 😉
Could you do an update on this Callum? I'm interested but is there anywhere up north that does it?
you drop those mags on the floor? Are you allowed to use a special part on the bottom to reduce the damage?
Can people use Co2 airsoft pistols in the action air ipsc competitions???
Sadly the place in Birmingham shut down I believe. I should gone before it did :(
How do I get started in Action Air in USA?
Is there restrictions against air pistols, I. E. 4.5 mm Air pistols (bb not pelet) vs Airsoft in these competitions?
Only 6 mm blowback guns are allowed

Is that a gbb mag? Is it safe to drop your mag in the floor?
yes it is totally safe. it has not enough power to explode. the only thing is that the magazin could leak after a while
nice
Nothing wrong with it cool stuff sucks to limited to only that but hey can always train and leave the country and compete and do well.
Will the Glock 44 22lr be uk legal
I know mate but it's if the government even let us have it
It has the potential, but I don't think Glock will be interested in doing it.
@@EnglishShooting that what I've been thinking
what type of gun is that please?
It's a WE Glock

How come you are wearing ear protection is it mandatory or you have sensitive ears? Lol
I guess my ears look funny on camera because I wasn't wearing any ear pro 😂eye protection is still required though.
@@EnglishShooting It must be my eyes since I was looking at Connors' ears and it seemed he was wearing ear protection as well.

What’s a good entry level pistol for this?
