I don't know why the Ryan Gosling cellophane is so funny. Just he's talking about it so traumatically and straight-faced makes it brilliant
His shy reluctance to share these stories always cracks me up.
He makes out like his parents are still hoping to sell the cellophane and finally break even: as if his mom took a few rolls to the Oscars and tried to sell them during the commercial breaks.
He needs to do more comedy movies lol. The Nice Guys was so amazing
His straight man approach to comedy is on point. He can deadpan with the best of them.
I completely lost it when Harrison Ford asked about the uses of cellophane. Those two have a really weird sense of humor, but their comedic timing is impeccable.

Remembering the movie would not have been near what it was without the cast, namely Robin Williams. Good Will Hunting is everything one needs when you're in a place of pain. Remembering that "it's not your fault"

Everyone seems so surprised in every Barbie interview that Ryan is so straight up hilariously funny, but he's been that way in every interview for years!!!!! And his comedy improv skills shine now, he was truly the best person to cast as Ken, Greta knew it! Can't wait to see, not just bc I'm 66 & my childhood centered around Barbies but Ryan & his funny Kenergy 😂
And he’s was one of the great SNL guests. Every sketch he was in was perfect!

I adore Ryan Gosling. Not only is he an amazing actor, but he is also comedic gold. He can deliver the most hilarious one liners, with a completely straight face. And he'll do that when least expected, which often leads to those around him losing it.
How is Ryan Gosling so frkn real?? He just exudes humility and his ego doesn’t get in the way.

I can't believe no one bothered to explain to Harrison Ford that we call it plastic wrap or cling wrap (or Saran wrap by a brand name). What we call cellophane in North America is thicker and less flexible and for example, used to wrap gift baskets.
I'm South African and we also have clingwrap, but bunches of flowers sold in stores are always wrapped in a layer of paper and a layer of cellophane.

@@creative45630 No, it's because he's American. We don't call it that here in North America. Ryan adjusted to that word to make the story more understandable for the UK audience. The only reason I know what cellophane is there is because I watch too much British youtube, lol.
Actually, "cling wrap", "Saran Wrap", etc., are plastic film made from petroleum. Cellophane, which preceded these plastic wraps by decades, is made from a natural plant material called cellulose, which stiffens the linings of cells of wood, cotton, crunchy vegetables, etc. When unrefined, it's what puts the "roughage" in fiber.
Celluloid, an early non-petroleum plastic, was another cellulose product, used in the 1920s and '30s for classy costume jewelery, art deco appliances, handles for modish cutlery. Ivory for piano keys was replaced by celluloid for decades, before being replaced in turn by petroleum-derived plastic.
Cellophane to me is what cigarettes are wrapped in then can be taken off to use as a tiny plastic bag

I was curious about the dolphin story so I looked up what happens if you touch a wild dolphin. Long story short, it is illegal in the US to touch or interact with dolphins as well as whales, seals and other marine animals in the wild as it disrupts their usual behaviour patterns which negatively effects their health in the present and over time. In hindsight this makes a lot of sense but I've heard so many stories of people swimming with dolphins in the wild, I just thought it was fine, turns out it's not! Good to know!
My Dad used to scuba dive wherever he happened to be stationed and he said the thing to do was not to chase after them, as if you could, but if a dolphin wanted to interact with you there wouldn't be much you could do to prevent it. Most times, he said, a dolphin or two would seem to be just checking him out or visiting or something but one time a dolphin punched him in the chest with its nose. That got his attention and in the moment he wondered if he was somewhere he shouldn't be or something and he kind of braced himself for worse but the dolphin seemed to just play rough.
There are loads of stories in LA about surfers or swimmers being out too far and on the verge of being in serious trouble and a dolphin or two helping them get back to shore, either pushing their surfboard or kind of sidling up alongside them and positioning themselves under their arm so the dolphin could kind of tow them back in. It's never happened to me and I have no scientific data to back this up, but the stories are unavoidable and I have trouble believing everyone's making it all up.

More than talented actors, Ryan and Margot can be perfectly a couple in the real life. Moreover, I'm glad I saw Barbieheimer because, I witnessed two important franchises, which no one wanted to miss.
