I admit I'm a casual fan of football but that sometimes is an advantage because I see things that hardened fans fail to see. It's obvious that Celtic can't compete in Europe. Because of this I believe the only way forward is to merge Celtic and Rangers. There'd be no arguments over kit colours because a yellow strip with red piping would be perfect as it'd represent the Royal Arms of Scotland flag (red lion on a yellow background). A new stadium would be built halfway between the two existing grounds and named after the main sponsor. The name of this new club? Glasgow United of course. I've actually written to both clubs and the Scottish FA with this proposal.

I think a Glasgow side playing in the Royal Scottish colours would be very fitting and noble. It'd get the city noticed too because Glasgow is a bit of a forgotten town in Europe.
This would make total sense in a world where celtic and rangers fans dont want to rip each others heads off. The only way forward for them is to join the premier league which may happen in the next 10 years.
