Tarot is so different from traditional book reviewing, which is what I'm used to. 🤔 This is a great hashtag because I'm really interested in where someone is coming from when they review decks.
Thank you for sharing, Roberta! It's really interesting to me how different communities adopt different standards for reviews. I think that books and tarot are both texts in the sense that they convey meaning, but since a book has a linear order you would expect a reviewer to actually finish the book and spend time analyzing it, whereas a tarot deck has infinite combinations of meanings... The tarot ecosystem is very small compared to other industries, so whereas the author of a book isn't likely to come across every single review of their work a tarot artist likely is, and I think that can dissuade people from doing a more critical review. I'm curious to hear more of your thoughts about this!
Thanks for doing this VR and sharing more about your approach and what you share on your channel! You spoke of decks that function within the tradition of the tarot, that dialogue with other interpretations- that really comes through in your passionate sharings here. That sentiment put words to something I seek out in the decks I am drawn toward working with, but wasn't conscious of. ✨
Loved your responses to these questions. Card stock really isnt what I look for either. I did do a vr video already. And i also wanted to say its awesome you show the decks that arent widely used in videos. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much! I just subscribed and watched your answer to the tag as well. I resonate with your perspective and am excited to go back and watch the other videos you have made! 🧡
Very thoughtful responses! Appreciate your sharing your philosophy!
Thank you so much! 🧡
