There is an Pagani Huayra R made by LCD models in Carbon fiber black which is the best in terms of details and retails for about the same as the Hotwheels RLC version.
First RLC model I purchased from the Mattel Creations site. Purchased it because it's a Pagani and it has side-mirrors. For a Hot Wheels RLC, I'd say this one is a winner (despite the price and in comparison to Tarmac). Thank you for showing the comparison to the Tarmac model.
Yeah that Pagani is absolutely sick!!! My McClaren RLC door gap is fine. I've heard of door gap complaints. McClaren (P1/GTR) my all time favorite casting . Another awesome video Champion DJK 👍
You are right on the money DJ!! I have the same conclusion on Mattel Creations and was debating it with another RUclipsr. Only because of American afluence and capitalist marketplace does a product with less or similar specification cost more, and in this case twice as much as its competitors. HW are therefore overvalued, and I suspect that reinforces their elasticity of demand. So people by them significantly drive by their long term investment and opportunity cost. Nevertheless, when it comes to long term investment profile, I'd say both are quite similar, so the margins gained are not likley to favor HW or another brand, but you would have surely put out less money upfront. I'm with you, I don't believe RLCs are worth what are being charged by Mattel. Going back to the car quality now, they are innovative in design, that's their competitive advantage, but won't invest further in equipment because the price point bracket they are in is like goldie locks, so why rock the boat? I'm not seeing them ever get to Tarmac Works lovely of quality unless a major corporate reshift happens.
That RLC Pagani Huayra R from HW looks amazing - especially taken into account that it’s a HW and not from some other premium 1/64 die cast like Inno64, MiniGT etc etc
Actually having one in hand, I'd have to say it's pretty solid. Is it everybody's cup of tea? Probably not, especially for the price. But the RLC checked enough boxes on it that I can't complain about it. They even got the quality control right. I mean, think about it, it can't be worse than the RLC McLaren F1, right? The more I look at my Huayra R the more that I feel like I dodged a bullet on that F1.
I passed on this one. I do like it but the price? I think it was a bit much. I dont have any in my collection so why start now and like you said if i really wanted it i could find it less expensive and get a a die cast just as nice or nicer. Great video! Have a great day 😊
As far as the spacers & screws I use small pieces of blue painters tape to hold them in place once I pull the car out and place into my displays. This way everything stays together when I store all of the empty boxes.
I'd pick up the model from LCD if I wanted this one. The details to cost ratio is great on that. For the price Mattel wants for these there shouldn't be any blobiness as well as subpar or no interiors of the regular hotwheels stuff associated with it. The quality control needs improvement as well. If other brands can have better QC then mattel can have better QC too. What you found out when you held the model up close shouldn't be there in the first place. On an Inno64, the QC issues will not be as extensive as this one. Even on the $15 Tarmac Works Global 64 model the QC issues with the paint were not as extensive as the HW.
Hotwheels did a fantastic job. But I will still buy the Tarmac. I actually have that green Tarmac. I think Tarmac did a really good job. If you like moving parts get the hotwheels. I think for what you have to pay Tarmac did a better job. More bang for your buck.
I ordered my Pagani on the 2nd. And I called FedEx yesterday. they told me that my RLC is lost in transit and to call Mattel WTF 😢😢 I guess chalk that up huh? I emailed them. What do you think Mattel would do?
Hotwheels were meant to be raced on orange tracks! They were never supposed to be super detailed shelf models. Hotwheels are still the coolest 1/64 cars. Know your brands and their respective histories.
Mini gt is just far superior. Their basic car is $15 and it blows the rlc out of the water. Each model gets its own unique wheels that won't be reused on another model. They scale way better and are truer to 1:64. If you want opening feature, the kaido house stuff is $25 and it's leagues and bounds better in terms of engine detailing. Hot wheels will always have a place for bringing me into the hobby. But pound for pound, mini gt punches well above its price range.
I think The Huayra R is a step in the right direction for RLC. But it still falls short while being overpriced when compared to other brands. The paint quality is not great. Details are toy like. They didn't even bother to paint the windshield wiper. The Global64 version is already superior to the RLC one, while being half the price. And then the LCD version just destroys it, both in quality and price. For me there is no reason to even bother with the RLC release, unless you are a RLC/Hot Wheels diehard, and/or you want to resell it later at a premium.
Collectors that think about value,, they are SPECULATORS, not collectors. I don't sell mine, and don't ask me "if i offered 10000 for your minis wouldn't you sell?" For this value you could get anyone else's, so why mine? Hotwheels are toys disguised as collectables. It's how they will ever be, and for this price is a full NO.
I think the rlc hit a home run with this Pagani. Beautiful model! Thanks for another good video 👍🏻

That's the best version of the R.
Totally agree
For a Hot Wheels that Huayra R looks impressive, actually looks like actual scale model

I wanna see BLACK x BLACK. mine is the Green too, but the nero oro has a more eye candy painting, i must admit, but the Green got me.

Good review. You covered the reasons for each collector

I bought my 2nd one a week after release. Got my first one in and was happy with the QC.. so I put another order in. Not like my McLaren 🫣 was bad
That might be the best looking RLC I’ve seen in a WHILE. Your camera is killer though, great resolution on this vid, Dave
Thanks!

I really like the RLC version very informative video 👍🏻✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️
Tarmac❤

Ya price was bit to much

Yeah I need to get an LCD of this model

Also the cases need to stack on each other better
Did. Mattel. Get this. One. Right ? Hot. Wheels. RLC pagani. Huayra. R
Yessir!

I imagine they will replace it since they are still available
it looks alright
not really a fan of hyper cars
if i had to buy one , id go tarmac works
I don’t like Paganis _or_ RLC as a rule, but yeah - this one is pretty darned good! Of course the Tarmac is nicer…
The LCD is Nice-er than the Tarmac.

I’ll have to check out the LCD one for sure.
First championdjk
Last here omg
Rlc definitely looks better
Eh, Grani & Partners is much nicer, older and much cheaper on release
I’ll have to check them out. I don’t have any from that brand in my collection
I'm gonna say no, even before seeing the video. Other brands did it way better for less.
Collectors that think about value,, they are SPECULATORS, not collectors.
