- We asked the players to name every LEC Champion, both teams and players, starting in 2022 and going all the way back to 2013, to see which players knew LEC/EU LCS history the best. How far back can you recount LEC champions?

It's actually insane how many times caps and perkz won and not only together.

i just realized that caps won 6 split in a row
Since 2016, only three winning teams did not include either of them - the 2021 MAD rosters and 2022 Rogue. That means that in 2016-2020, for TEN splits in a row, at least one of them lifted the trophy.
Interestingly, you could make this streak one split longer (2015 summer) by substituting Caps with Rekkles. While Rekkles only has 4 titles to the 6 from Caps, Caps' only title without ONE OF Rekkles or Perkz on his team was 2022 spring.

You can tell how people like Perkz, Rekkles and Caps just love the game in general. They don't just play it, they know the culture, the teams, etc. Such a pleasure to watch.
Most suprising thing for me was Finn getting so far.

Shoutout to Jackspektra, Finn and Targamas for knowing a lot of LEC/Eu LCS history from before they joined.
Look in some way Rekkles Perkz and Caps have a big advantage having been the core parts of many of these years, Finn or Comp however who were more spectators and fans watching it from afar lasting this long and doing this well truly impressed me.
Kobbe really is the true veteran, he has been here for so long

I only got Puszu because I remember the casters talking about him building sorc boots on Corki when that started being a thing. Good times
I knew him aswell, but forgot Tabbz although I hard cheered for that team...

@@GamesCourier I had tabbz but was missing Nyph... Comes a way back but I loved that Alliance roster !
@@borofreak Depends on the Corki version. Before the current one we had a passive version that did 50% physical and 50% magical damage (opposed to 80% magic currently) and even earlier he got 20% true damage on auto hits. So his damage share was a lot more physical in earlier days.
Hearing the good old FNC roster with Soaz, Cyanide, xPeke, Rekkles and Yellowstar always gives me goosebumps...

Yes, and in the case of Perkz he could never win the MVP of those splits (Although I'm sure he deserved the award at least 3 times)
I have been watching LCS / LEC since so many years now even though I had forgotten many of these roster, so many memories come back to my mind after seeing them.
Perkz and Rekkles are like the damn scrollkeepers of LEC history, damn.

Rekkles sounds happy to know the answers, like a kid that knows all the answers for the test, but Perkz. When Perkz talks, it sounds like he’s telling you a tale long lost, about legendary times, where he was participant of a great chunk of it.

Been a massive g2 fan since 2016 but only because the best eu roster was disbanded. Huni, reignover, febiven, rekkless and yellowstar. His alistar plays made me main supp when I started league in season 4❤️
Damn, I didn't realize sOAZ, Cyanide, xPeke, and Yellowstar won EU LCS three times in a row, absolute monsters. It literally took an alliance to take them down.

for the longest time it was literally just fnatic, alliance once, and G2. it was only in 2021 when a new team joined the champions list.

2018 Fnatic was my personal golden age, back when Caps was the most overhealming rookie the west had ever seen, 2019 g2 probably was better but my heart still is with Bwipo-Soaz Mr Broxah, Caps Rekkles and Hyli.
The worst mistake fnc as an org ever made was letting Caps go...
They didn't let him go his contract was up and he wanted to go to G2 cause there was a lot of things he didn't like at fnatic and felt like it couldn't be fixed
