Thank you! This channel really helps, I never thought that I would learn Japanese that fast. I can already write in Hiragana and Katakana, also speak barely... But Kanji is still a Challenge. I started 5 months ago and came back to this channel everyday, Really Thank you 🖤🙌
Imo using Anki with the Mass Immersion Approach (google it) is the best way to learn kanji so far. MIA is very good, and it focuses first on recognizing kanji, and then after you can recognize each frequently used kanji and it's meaning, it makes learning readings 10x easier. The reasoning behind this is that at first kanji just look like scribbles, but once you've created an entry in your mind for every kanji character, it becomes easier to recognize them in the wild and know their readings after learning appropriate vocabulary. Give it a look! So far I can comfortably identify around 800 kanji and they don't look like scribbles anymore! It's pretty rewarding :)
@@ayjaygame oh Thanks why didn't this comment show up 5 months ago but it still gonna help because I made a 3 month pause of learning japanese, I had to learn more in normal school
kanji is very much derived from chinese letters (漢字). It would actually be much easier if you look up the chinese version of that letter. There might be some alternations, but mostly you can find the resemblance between the two- some are even identical. The meanings are also similar. Try looking up those chinese words (it's actually much easier to understand in that way). Add oil! (加油)
@@DishonoredGOD Wow... thanks for noticing that. I really appreciate. I didn't notice that its in English at first when I started to study w/ Risa. U live in Japan btw?
I am making a flash card deck of all of these. I’m challenging myself to memorize 700/800 of these by the end of the year. To anybody else trying to learn all of these: It’ll be worth it. You got this
remember daily 20 words, you can do it in 40 days max. Todo, watch learn, make some connections with the word... spend time, revisit at night, 2 days after and so on. During my prep for chemistry olympiad, I remembered 500 reactions in a month. Its very possible
I wish I came across this video before I learned Japanese! This is an excellent supplement to any Japanese learning program! Learning any language takes various strategies done at the same time, until one thinks in the language while conversing!
Iam indian I love to speak Japanese . I learnt I can understand hiragana and katakana but kanji is tricky and heard . But now I gonna now to learn vocabulary and I learnt by risa thanks a lot ma'am .
I came back here after awhile not studying. wow! this video is better than the previous similar ones I've watched because it gives examples. can you give simpler examples but like, in 3 sentences? that's just a selfish request from me, but I hope you consider it. thanks a lot🙏
I love Risa as my teach. she's done a great job at this. i can speak ( kinda ) in Japanese now and I sorta understand Hiragana and Katakana thanks to Her and Alisha. I have watched their intro to Kanji, ( inserts meme ) I fear to man... But that thing ( Kanji ) It frightens me.
Hi Risa, I have a question. I have a friend who's family name is Baca. NOT Baka, but Baca. It is an Italian name. The most famous Baca family raced in the US in the NHRA. So , when I take him to japan what would be the best way to introduce him? Without people thinking I'm joking...Thanks
Delicious “deserts” 13:44 should be desserts. Here’s how you can remember the difference between “desert” and “dessert”: with a sandy deSert, you don’t want seconds like you do with deSSert!🎂🎂 (Mom gave that one to me while we were practicing spelling through the dictionary... 😱😅). Thanks for the upload these videos are very helpful. 👍🏻
@@Rei_Tatekei Risa's first appearance on this channel was back in 2013. Assuming she was in her early 20's back then, that would put her in her late 20's or so.

Why are people commenting stupid things like this? This video isn’t about teaching emotions. She’s doing a great job teaching Japanese which is the point of this video. Not needing to be overly animated.

Yeah hiragana and katakana was surprisingly easy, but then when they shove kanji in there im completely lost lol
