During this presentation, we will take a 1st person look at what the vehicle is all about beginning with the start up, performance data, fuel economy, the occasional track data, and build quality. Also, I will teach you how to use most of the interior and exterior features in a detailed fashion, that before, you could only get from going to a dealership yourself! Throughout the video, I will highlight key styling and unique differences about the vehicle, any available options, and of course it would not be an enthusiast car video without the good ole engine portion with rev and exhaust note with interior and exterior perspectives. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.
FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE CHANNEL SEE BELOW: In this channel you will find in depth educational videos of automobiles from all over the world, presented in a more detailed fashion than ever before. This gives the viewer the chance to view the most detailed 1st person look you can get without seeing it in person. Every video is consistent in the way I present so viewers know what to expect. I treat every vehicle with the same respect regardless of the year and pricepoint. I film all types of vehicles from the past, present, and future while broadening the knowledge of the automotive enthusiast. You will see everything from vintage, brand new, exotic, mainstream, old, etc. I am very proud of this channel and have built it up from amateur videos years ago to what you see today. Sooo many videos Kyle keep up the great work
great job! always enjoy your comprehensive reviews
I've had a 1.4T automatic with tech for over a year and have to say this car is amazing. Always been a VW fan myself, my driving lessons given in my family's Audi A4 and another Opel Vectra. Very entertaining steering and control overall, a lot of fun on the highway (but drive safely!). The engine easily matches the 1.8T in terms of horsepower/torque, with marvelous fuel efficiency. Spacious back seat and trunk. And high safety test score (IHS).
Have to say the interior could be a bit too "classic" or not quite fancy, compared to other more creative designs like Chevy Cruze or Mazda 3. So considering the interior, make sure you enjoy the rigidity of German aesthetics :)
Another problem is that in a certified dealer the price does escalate significantly with each step up in the trim. I took the basic trim without much add-ons; if you want a lot of extra techs and luxury stuff it's gonna cost you quite some money.
Nice car. That red exterior looks really nice. All red Volkswagens look really nice. My family had a 2001 Jetta TDI a while back, but it was dark blue. Awesome review as they always are, keep them going, can't wait for more, and don't forget, you're awesome.
Saabkyle, please do the Mercedes s600 Maybach, btw I love your videos man
Next car to be reviewed that's not in your social media? Keep doing good work on this channel.
Great video Kyle!
Great content. . .as usual Kyle
Excellent review Kyle!
- Michael
I own two of these. Fun to drive and great for Daily Driver. I use one to do 100 mile round trip commute all highways. Runs smooth all the way up the ladder. This car is good in winter, I used Pirelli Sottozero 2's on 205-55R16 VW alloys in winter and no issues.
I have this exact car. Love it.
Love it, thinking of upgrading from my mk5
I absolutely love my '15 Jetta, but VW desperately needs to do a complete overhaul on the model to compete with other vehicles in the class.
Nice review. I'm a big Volkswagen fan buy I never paid attention to the Jetta until now. I own two Passats, my 2008 and newer 2017 SE! It's strange, as much as I like Volkswagens I don't like any of them that are later than 2018/19!
my next car i love this gli great video sorry for my writing i am from mexico
You doing good don't apologize...
Great review.
Good video. You should do a review on the new 2016 BMW M2! If you ever get the chance of course.
That's a beautifully styled car.
awesome videos like always almost at 1m sub keep going
I've Just bought one, a white Autobahn, Like it.
I like this car. It looks sporty and fun. I want it.
I owned a 2013 GLI autobahn edition in gray, I did some upgrades (cold air intake, full catback exhaust, tune). After all the mods I was pushing around 290hp 315tq really fun car to drive super quick not really fast tho. But man did I have endless electrical issues, I was changing light bulbs every month. Along with the electrical issues and some other mechanical (sway bar links needed to be replaced at 50k) the repairs were just too much for what the car is. I wouldn't really recommend this car to anyone unless you intend to drive it not many miles.
Solid video✊
great video!!!!
Hey there Kyle! How about some new Nissan Patrol/Armada review? I know you've already done the qx80. Also a refreshed version of Lexus LX and/or Toyota Land Cruiser? Or maybe even a Mercedes GLS? Just thought that would be nice. It would make a great overall comparison as well. Keep up the great work!!
:)
This is a fantastic car. But I think it's time for VW to put trim on the cupholders.
Looks like its more spacious than the CC headroom and back seat legroom. I don't know why I don't see these GLI's more often on the roads.
My brother in law drives one. very smooth
Saabkyle please do a review on the 2016 Shelby GT350 and GT350R!👍🏽
+Saabkyle04 The P225/40R18 92Y XL Bridgestone Potenza S001 tires your tester was outfitted with are summer tires, not all-season. The all-season tires for the GLI are Pirelli P Zero Nero (ultra high performance all-season tires), Hankook Ventus S1 Noble2 (ultra high performance all-season tires), or Dunlop SP Sport 01 A/S (ultra high performance all-season tires) all in P225/40R18 92H XL size. Pirelli Cinturato P7 or Continental Procontact TX are offered as grand touring all-season tire options.
I love that fact that VW tuned the 2.0 to sound like a 5 cilinder engine from the inside.
Yeah I love that too!
A bit of 5 cylinder mixed with a bit of Subaru wrx kind of rumble
I changed my 2011 2.5 5 speed jetta for a 2015 1.8 5 speed golf. The 1.8 is smoother but the suspension of the jetta is more comfortable on the highway. The golf seems to be more zippy on backroads. I like my golf but kinda miss my jetta beacause it was as good as the golf is. A gli seems to be a really good daily driver, smooth but sporty when you need.
Is there any way you are going to do vw passat? Your videos are great :-D
Great car!
Can you review the new 2019 GLI, please?
Hey Kyle, great video. Could we possibly get a video on the new 2016 Honda Civic Coupe Touring? Thanks! -Gorav :)
you should make a review about the 2015 or 2016 toyota tundra 1794 4x4,
plz i will love to see the truck on your youtube channel.
My baby :) Same one but in the grey !
I need this car!!!
All new models are improved in so many ways, by now all cars must be perfect, no improvement possible!
That's the GLI Autobahn here in Canada.
i would choose this car in the compact segment. great all around.
can you do a review on the 2016 VW Passat V6 SEL?
Jetta focuses more on performances which in my opinion is more important than what the outside looks like (detail wise)
can you upload 2016 ford explorer plz saabklye04
You almost at that 1 million sub. Kyle. What prize does the 1 millionth sub get?
1 millions subs plaque
please do a tundra. you haven't had one since 08.
thanks for the great videos
+onetoolfan Thank you for watching! I don't have any immediate Tundra plans, but I'm sure it'll happen this year. Next full size truck I'll be uploading in the next few weeks is the Titan XD!
+Saabkyle04 thx buddy, you're awesome
+Saabkyle04 can you please do the 2017 Audi r8??? I haven't seen you do one in a while btw... great review as always Kyle keep up the good work:)
Can you do a review on the 2016 Volkswagen Passt
Could you please do a retro series of videos about cars?????
liked it up to the point of the exhaust
Do a video on the Volkswagen polo harlequin. They are cool
love the way he pronounces interior/exterior lol
Hey Kyle. Could you possibly put one of your front seats all the way back when you do the rear seat section? A lot of us taller guys have to put seats all the way back and knowing how much rear seat legroom is left after doing this would be helpful.
Agreed. I'm 6'7 and in some cars a infant wouldn't fit behind me lol
This car rules
COOL 2016 Volkswagen Jetta GLI SEL - Start Up, Road Test & In Depth Review
Are the high beam headlights LED or are they Halogen? What about the fogs?
I wish we had Jetta GLI like that on the marked in Europe. We got Comfortline, Trendline and Highline ;(
The combination turn signal /tail / brake rear lights drive me crazy ...
Im so happy we agree..! I dont mind red signals in the rear, as long as theyre separate from the brake light. Although amber is demonstrated to be much safer.
+DimachkaS In Europe and other markets, they're all separate and the turn signals are amber; but here in the states, they use a dual-filament bulb that does the job for both turn signal/tail light. SO annoying (and confusing sometimes when someone presses the brake and turns on the turn signal at the same time, or when one of the bulbs is burnt out and then nobody knows what's going on)
I found this article, we're not alone in thinking like this!
jalopnik.com/the-vw-tiguans-us-taillights-are-princes-of-lies-1574321243
+kanoholani These are all LEDs in the rear on the GLI and Hybrid models. FYI
Thank you, but I already know that as I have one of these cars and want to convert it into the Euro-spec where the turn signals utilize the amber (orange) light portion of the tail-lamp cluster. VW isn't the only one to do this, and it boggles my mind why the American-version of the same car sold worldwide has to be changed to a more conventional/simpler design. Anyways.. that's my $0.02 on the whole matter
+DimachkaS I agree too u not alone.. i hate this for years.. and always find annoying.. especially on Pick ups.
i love the videos of saabkyle04 please do the test of a mercedes benz
He has done many Mercedes
+Ty White but a new video of the mercedes benz maybach
Would of bought this but in Australia we have Jetta's but no GLi. So I got a 2013 Holden Cruze Equipe Diesel because it has 360Nm/265ft lb with a ok 120kw. All the other compact cars under 30k in australia have about 190-240nm torque.
Sadly not aviable in germany, nice review as always :)
Nice that it still has the old VAG- key and not the ugly new one thats just looks much cheaper.
why would you want the jetta over a euro passat? Here in brazil we have both, euro passat and jetta from mexico. The passat is way better made, even the golf is better.
Drive a Euro Passat TDI myself here in germany. Its the better car over the Jetta for sure, Jettas are very rare here.
And the Golf is also made in Mexico, so what's you point?, we get a few Brazilian made car (Gol) and those are not precisaly the best quality cars, if Mexico made bad quality car we wouldn't have Audi, BMW and Mercedes building multimillion dollar facilites here... it is extremely ignorant to say that because something is made somewhere it is bad quality!, is not where you built the thing, is how you design it to be, and the A6 Jetta was designed to be cheaper than the A5 Jetta, that's the reason it seems lower quality, I've driven both the current Jetta and the current Golf, both made at the very same Mexican plant and the difference in perceived quality is huge, but the Golf has always been designed to feel like a high quality car (reliability is another matter)
Andres Salazar
You tottaly misinterpreted my comment. I was talking about the euro passat and golf being better made than the jetta, regardless if the golf is also made in mexico or not.
We want a video about the shelby 350r and the z28 camaro 2015
please say what the serial number of this plastic detail on the at the bottom of the front, rear bumper and on the threshold?? where can i buy it?
Fun car to drive!
think you could revisit a 03-04 svt cobra?
hey can u do a review on a 2006 vw jetta plzzz stick shift review will better if u can
What is the launch control feature and how does it work? 4:03-4:05
Great looking car
It would be such a fun RWD too. Too bad
I LOVWE Volkswagen!!!
Does the 2015 GLI have launch control too?
dude can u review the new shelby f150 700hp supercharged pls
"You cant go wrong with the DSG" (flashbacks to nightmares and sleepless nights of frequent clutch slip and shudder and mechatronic unit problems)
Did you service it every 40k?
+Ty White it never even got to half of that before it started with its problems
saabkyle04 please do the test of a mercedes benz gls 63 AMG.
What's the difference between the Normal gli and that gli sel
Thankyou 👍🏽👍🏽
Hi Kyle, can you please do a review on the new 2016 Honda Pilot Touring and I am nine years old
don't tell people your age. that's how you'll get molested
Please do 2016 Nissan Altima 3.5 SR
I really wished the new GLI's were MQB like the GTI's, those have so much more potential.
+GeeFK It'll be awesome to see what they do with the next generation!
+Saabkyle04 are you going to review the diesel Jetta?
+Dodge 318 Cummins dieselgate please haha
+GeeFK Agreed, I would probably choose the GLI then
My Aunt Drives It Today Just About 3 Months.
Where was this video recorded?
Does it come standard with cheat software?
what about the interior lights?
Does it have remote start?
we dont have this car in germany wtf
+Bärliner Baba (Zwichen Mauspad und Topf) Several people have said that! I'm surprised you don't, but sedans have always been popular in the States too.
+Bärliner Baba (Zwichen Mauspad und Topf) That's weird. Do u guys have the Voltswagon Golf GTI? It's essentially the hatchback version of this car.
we have the golf gti DjSonicMax
Don't complain if I start to name all the Volkswagen that you guys have in Germany the I wish we had not even talking about Seat and skoda . So you guy's don't get the GLI but you do get the regular Jetta.
+Bärliner Baba (Zwichen Mauspad und Topf) was it jetta after the vento now both are gone ?
Those that engine make that diesel sound
Does it start with a key
damn this car is nice

nice car
Dude plzzzzz do 2016 passat plz
do a video about honda odyssey vs Toyota camry which one is better
Well one is a full size car, one is a minivan. Not really comparable lol
The DSG needs scheduled service every 40k miles and it costs $500 assuming all is well.
Cant help to think it sounds like Lt Commander Data is giving the Review.
You gotta love how he swapped cars back and forth after 20:00 mins! The second car is not even a GLI Two completely different interior/exterior colors and models 😂😂
I just noticed that too.
I saw the push button but the silver button on the key might be a key
Do a 2016 Kia Sedona Sx minivan
Dude can u help me out? What's your opinion on the first time buyer plan for cars. I'm 18 going to school and working a part time job, trying to buy a 2010 Camaro please make a video explaining the first time buyer plan.✌🏾
first time buyer? that was a year ago for me. well what I wanted was a mustang truck but thought about college and about gas so i thought about getting 4 cylinder car with less than 100k miles so I ended up getting a 2015 gli with 22k miles for $15k and I have no regrets bro haha
How much was payments
+Rashaan yts Parker paid it cash..
+Edgar Barajas how long did you save? I want a newer car but don't want to make payments
+Edgar Barajas btw I never heard of a mustang truck lol
kyle, can you describe the dimension in metric please? because i cant imagine about how long/wide/tall these cars are.. and btw where's the civic fb's video? i cant wait to see that, super excited😆
+PetrolHeadTraveller03 It would be too much to describe over talking, but a nice overlay would be cool! I agree, it needs to be done. At this moment, I'll need help doing that extra editing, but I really hope I can start integrating that stuff soon. Thanks! BTW, I'll be working on that civic soon. My schedule filled up really quick for the next couple of weeks, it shouldn't be too much longer.
+Saabkyle04 alright then:)
+Saabkyle04 can you please do the 2017 Audi r8??? its my dream car
can you review the battlefield 1 trailer?
This is a car channel lol. Infinite warfare isn't looking too good tho. Battlefield will probably be the game this year
I love the new Jetta overall but to be honest I don't think it look aggressive anymore. The headlights are just packed with a lot of stuff and it makes it look not as aggressive as 2011 Jetta (proud owner :) )
