Moi kat.. I registered using your link.. I just want to ask if I book for trial... do I need to click the pay method already? so the trial can proceed or?
I like the mini quizzes you include in the videos. They are so fun for some reason. I don’t know why but I like them so much. Thank you again for your continuous teaching ❤❤❤❤❤
You are a great teacher! Kiitos. I learn finnish language because I found out that the finnish music is the best in the world. I'm from Ljubljana, Slovenia and I listen only finnish pop music. My best singer is Sanni Virallinen. 🙂🙂🙂🙂
Oh wow this is an interesting topic! Might need to watch the video a couple of times to understand it better 😅 Congratulations on your 100+ classes!! You are an amazing teacher 🎉 and thank you for another great video!
A little something you've put on your thumbnail but have forgotten to mention in the video :) 1) if the strong stem ends with an - i, the double i that arises when adding the -isi - suffix is shortened: tanssia → he tanssivat → hän tanssisi; 2) if the strong stem ends with a double vowel or a diphthong, it gets shortened before the suffix: myydä → he myyvät → hän myisi; juoda → he juovat → hän joisi. (This is also how noun stems change before -i- in plural: maa → maissa, suo → soissa.) Conveniently, there happens to be no verb in Finnish in which the final -e would be strong rather than epenthetic (inserted between consonants to ease the pronunciation).
Moi Katja Olen suomalainen, jolle You Tube ehdotti sinun sivustoasi. - ihastuimme työhösi! Edellisenä viikonloppuna katsoimme useita videoitasi. Oli hienoa havaita, kuinka aktiivinen yhteisösi on kiinostunut suomen kielestä ja Suomesta.
This is a bit too advanced for me still, but I'll get there. About iTalki, congrats on your 100+ classes! Having regular classes with you on iTalki helps me a lot, kiitos! We can learn a lot from your videos, but just an online class can help with the 'small' things like how to pronounce 'Y', 'A', and 'Ä', double letters, how to start conversations, etc. I can recommend to everyone to try an online class, and with your KATFINNISH code, gets even better. 🙂
Menisitkö tänään ulos, jos sataa? (Would you go out today if it rains?) En menisi, jos sataa. Mutta jos paistaa aurinko, niin voisin. (I wouldn't go if it rains. But if the sun is shining, I could.)
In real everyday conversations we DON'T use conditional mood except for polite versions of "can you, can I " and sometimes, very seldom, in the phrase "if +" . What we use? Saisinko. Saisit. Olisi hyvää. Jos sanoisit niin.... I can't remember others. Actually you can use just "jos". It is enough. Kävelin jos pystyn. Seison jos pystyn. You never use the form "seisosimme".
Is there a reason to why conjugate it according to “he”? For example with “seisoa” the “mä” form is “seison” and we can remove the “mä” ending and it is the same, “seiso”.

@@mindanaofwtutorialstoday The trial lessons just mean they are cheaper than the actual lessons :)

That's amazing! Finland does indeed have a lot of great music and artists so I'm happy to hear you've discovered them!
Very nice lesson. I love Finnish. It's so freaking hard.
And if you use isi in a question, that makes it even more fun!
Kiitos! I'm glad you love the language and find aspects of it fun :D

Oh true! I should probably change the thumbnail so it's not confusing! Thanks for the additional info! :D

Kiitos kauhean kivasta kommentista! Ja joo, on tosi kivaa et näin moni aktiivisesti on kiinnostuneita suomen kielestä :)

"He" form always gives the correct strong stem regardless of KPT changes.
@@hyhhy good to know, thank you 😊
What you mean by "mä" ending?
@mitztli it means minä but short in puhukieli
Greetings. Where can I sit for Finnish language A1 and A2 proficiency test. I am in Kenya.
I'm sorry, I don't know the answer to this :(
Moi Kat,do you sell softcopy of your book?
The YKI book? I didn't make it, I got it from the library in Finland. But it should be sold in Finnish bookstores I'd imagine :)
@@KatChatsFinnish Oh i see,i thought you made it..thanks for that info..🤗

More simple , modern finnish
Jos mulla on nälkä , syön jotain.
Jos osaan uida , kävin uimahalissa
"Jos" has a role of "would"
Notice also that "isi" = "daddy". So "Seiso isin takana" and "Seisoisin takana" have totally different meaning 🙄
Tietää lausutaan " tiEtää" ei "tiätää". Vaikka Juti lausuukin väärin...
Oikein kaunis opettaja
Kävelisin is not equal to "i would walk". In finnish it has only one meaning: if it would be possibly, i will walk. Nothing else.
6:28 minä sinä hän me te he c'mon beibi kun te kuulette lol
That's what happened when you listen too much Finnish songs
Mä sä me te , miksi ette kuule , eh?)
