for the little guys, only 14 and 15", i loved the cooper cobras i had on my old lancer. great all season with a 60k mile warranty. i wish they made them in bigger sizes.
I’m extremely impressed with the Firestone Firehawk indy500 tires. Very sticky, sick looking tread pattern and good in the wet too. They are more expensive than they used to be but I still got a set of 255/35/19 for $173 each including shipping so bang for buck still a great choice.
When they were cheap they were great for shitboxes. I threw a set on my old car and it handled like a dream in both wet and dry roads. Would not recommend for winter however, apparently even Firehawk A/S do badly in cold weather and/or snow.
SURLY WE CAN GET A "So you want to buy - Aldi S3" Please papi seems like a awesome budget sport SEDAN we need to get the word out lad and i'd love to get your opinions
If anyone is wondering I got the strada 2 and my god I’ve never felt so much control than now especially in turning the handling with these tires is insane for the price tag I’m also able to reach 135 in my civic with so much ease I swear I’m not lying in general tires are so underrated when it’s come to first mods on a car cuz it doesn’t change the appearance of the car but my god does my car feel even more fun to drive
@@lith4x0 bad roads I tend to stay away from cuz I have more of a lowered car sorry I’m sure you can ask that question in a forum and someone can give you they’re experience 🙏🏽
@@meniss7284 yessir kinda Im still running the same tires in the fronts but I can’t say the same for my rear but that’s really because I have -10 camber on my rear and they ran me for 4 months before the tread came to the wire and I forgot to flip 😭so I just got two brand new stranda ll for the back and will flip the tires every 3 months but as stated before my fronts are still in mint condition the tread still looks untouched
i ordered wheels a couple weeks ago and didn’t want to pay a shop to mount my tires and balance them, really happy i bought my wheels and hankook tires from you guys :)
I got Conti DWS 06s on my 17’ IS 350 F Sport But I wanna try out the Vercellis or Hankooks on my 20’ Civic Si. I live in Cali by the coast so it does rain sometimes. Do y’all know what has better wet performance betweeen the two?
Last time I got tires I got hankooks but after a coilover install and a bad alignment I’m getting the wheels and tires I actually want from fitment industries
I don't recommend the Achilles ATR Sport 2, they're pretty bad in the rain. Yes, they look nice and drive decently in the dry, but for me in northern Germany (where like every 3rd day in summer is rainy) they're crap. Every wet corner I take (with a bit more gas than needed) I'm close to spinning out. Drove them 5-10k km last summer on just-broken-in tires but they'll be changed before summer
Highly recommend strada 2 my friend in the dry and rain they are superb snow is quite decent definitely better tires for snow however but then again the best tires for snow are quite literally just snow tires imo should always have a stash just lying around if you’re riding a compact/mid size sedan these will definitely get the job done
Anyone actually have any experience with the Vercelli Strada II? They are only $75 a piece at walmart, and one of my federals blew out last year, so was hoping to throw so cheapos on until federals are easier to find.
You guys mentioned it in multiple videos and it bugs me... Do you get the Hankook Ventus V12 evo2s as all seasons over there in the US? I run them since 2015 on my A6 here in Germany and for us, they are classified as pure summer tyres🤔
I run BLIZZAK LM 32s during the winter and Michelin sports in the spring/summer on my 2015 Mitsubishi Evo. I live in Alberta Canada and those BLIZZAKs are so dang good, they’ve gotten me outta so many close calls. Never felt so in control of a car then when I run those in the winter. I may as well be a snow mobile.
I had some Kenda Kaisers on order from y’all, but the back order was taking too long. I ended up swapping them out for the Achilles ATR Sport 2s and I’m just as happy!
I'm personally not a fan of directional tires. It means that rotation gets annoying because you can't just put it on the other side. If you do, then whatever water that the tread was designed to dispel away from the center of the tire, will be doing the opposite - possibly increasing chances of hydroplaning. If you decide to keep it on the same side, then it may be okay if you have a square setup and good alignment. If you have a staggered set up, then rotating with directional tires is basically impossible - I know from experience.
What size tires are you talking about? I get my Yokohama Advan v105 in 215 45 17, mounted and balanced, for 108 € a piece. Idk if we are just really lucky in Spain or if you are talking about bigger more expensive tires
I ordered neogen's several weeks ago.....didn't come in so I ordered some as-05 and gs'. Didn't come in. Got stuck with the toyo Extensa hp II and I HATE them. They are "just ok" for normal driving but anything under 50 degrees and they feel like rocks!!! I use the mountain pass here in WA state every week so it sucks!! Edit: now my local store has 4 neogen on stock. Smdh 😭
I want to see data on these $400 tires vs the Mchelin & Continental side by side, same sport vehicle with a 0-60 times in the low 5 secs. Noise Performance Reliability (Poor Road Conditions/Rocks/Pot Hole) Tread Life
Was going to buy another set of goodyear maxlife until I realized prices went up by 400 💀 I paid 560 with install few years ago and now they’re 900 for a set. Now I’m on here looking for tires 😂
Super basic but the indy firehawk for warmer weather street tires. I'm really happy with the Cooper all seasons I have for all year snow to sun tires. And if you want my opinion on super sticky? If you aren't in the 200 tw group you are leaving time on the table. Spring for the AO52 or the new hotness from Falken the rt660
I got the newer GT RADIAL touring right after Cooper for my subie roughly $450. I was impressed with the performance as a daily driver. Best bang for the bucks. Yes, the hankook ventus 2 were best selling for the budget when I worked for tire traction wholesale.
I have an accord sport 2.0t looking to run 245 40 19 what’s the best all season that has good grip and rides quiet? I see quite a few ppl running continental extreme dws-06-plus is that the best tire for under 900 for the set.
I've been using the Achilles Sport 2's far a couple years, local tire distro cost for 4 235 17 45 was $280 shipped. Also just scooped a set last month from them in 195 50 15 for my Miata at only $260 shipped to my door. Price is great, great in the rain, ok in light snow, confident under lateral G's. Solid tire for the price! Always liked Falken until they became hard to come by
