maybe not 3600 watts. but i think its for sure its 2000 watts... but guys.. you are shaming qsc for the specs... but its a great sounding sub and also you cant say shit if you never heard the sub yet......
AstoriaPiper yea keep in mind it’s clipping. Where the limiter starts to flash and the sound starts distorting not max spl which is what every company will show on their specs. The rcf might be even less. But as an owner of both of these companies. Rcf has superior SQ NOT SPL. Rcf=Celine Dion Qsc=Ariana grande
Can we have some real wattage numbers? the 3600 is peak not continuous. the 181 was 1000 continuous and 2000 peak. whats the continuous wattage? Also, the SPL on this is stated to be 136, the 181 was 135. all these numbers and its only 1 db more? Thats not great.
Ash Krikorian even though it is 1db louder it’s still seems to have more punch and output. Better DSP, it is more controlled. When I set these up in my shop I was comparing to the KW 181 and 2 off the KS118 kept up with 4 of the KW181’s. I will see if I can get the continuous numbers for you. I would say check them out and listen for yourself.
@@redheadracingwait, are you telling me this has the power of 2, 181's? I would love for that to be true however I am not buying it. However yes if you can get the continuous numbers would be great, and yes I am waiting for the local shops to get them so I can take a listen. I appreciate the info
@Leonard jeremy the 181's will drop in price and be considerably cheaper to make way for these newer boxes. for a much lower price ill go with the 181's all day
usually when you see peak power to any speaker or amplifiers and there is no continuous rating...just divide the peak power by two and it normally gives you the RMS (Continuous) that you are looking for ...in this case the RMS would be 1800 ....I would have to hear it to believe it...I haven't heard it personally but I'm leaning on believing the continuous is more in the 1200 to 1300 range.
I cant decide between the KS118 or EV Etx18... I've had my heart set on the etx for a long time but just found out about these and they are the same price. has anyone tried both?
if i were you i would go with the etx 18sp ($1500) or two ekx 18sp ($1000) each. i currently own one ekx 18sp sounds lower and louder than the old version of qsc sub. the kw181 which i tested at a house party outside i was dissapointed by the lack of spl and lack of deepness even though i had it set to deep mode. i also tested the ekx 18sp and etx 18sp side by side at guitar center and the etx sounded at least 30% louder than the ekx.bbut i ended going with the ekx because of size and weight. ekx18sp best sub for $1000. hope to upgrade to the etx soon

Leonard jeremy thinking about trading in my two 112’s (had two months) for another one of the ks118. I’ve got a kw181 and noticed the deeper sound right away with the new ks118.
Wanna impress me? Keep the wattage and power consumption low but increase the amp efficiency. Increase the SPL with technology and innovation not more wattage. This sub is a lateral move if you already own a KW181.
AstoriaPiper yeah usually half of the max power. That’s pretty good since no other company is doing those numbers. Btw I took my handy spl meter and clocked it clipping at 104db @ 1 meter
Shaun this shows just how LITTLE you know about audio... 3,200...!!!!! Get real fella... no such running rate, you'll destroy it at that power.... disappointing fella disappointing
you are full of sh....tt i opened this kind of speaker and im very disqusting the brige rectifier is 10 amps value ...so if you have 220 on piower grid multiply whit 10 amps how much power you will have from this speaker???? the value on the bridge si 10 amps but most of the time the power amplifier is taken half of amperage from the bridge rectifier the most very bad speakers ...desingned in USA and made in CHINA
I was about to buy a pair of KS112c's but I think I should go with these instead.
You won't be sorry!
paired a Electrovoice etx 35 p... with two of these subs and holy shit. it sounded nice..
How powerful is the punch will it be felt in the body ect could it rattle places ect how powerful is it and is it genuinely worth it
And are these suitable to pair with other speakers
Ive had Harbinger Vari, Beringer, and JBL PRX718. To my ear, this sub has sounded best, cant wait for re-supply local Guitar Center to purchase.
What other 18" subwoofers should I consider budget is not an issue give me an honest answer I can save alot in little time
Do you need a amp with this?
maybe not 3600 watts. but i think its for sure its 2000 watts... but guys.. you are shaming qsc for the specs... but its a great sounding sub and also you cant say shit if you never heard the sub yet......
Would I be able to pair this up to an EON ONE?
My SPL meter clocked the sub clipping at 104db from 1 meter away in about a 1700 square foot area
Sound Junky wow interesting! I’m really looking at the RCF’s instead.

Did you measure it in C or Z weighting? Because 104dB sounds like an A weighted measurement to me in this price class.
Also what's the rms/continuous
Guys FORGET ALL ABOUT THE PEAK POWER 3,200w Means absolutely nothing..... EVEN forget R.M.S
It's all about S.P.L @1 METER.
Simon price yup...the power spec is total bullshit
Not alot of the time
Exactly. Meyer sound proves that. Their subs are second to non

How does this sub compare to the Bassboss single 18"?👀👀👀👀👀
Have you ever hear orbit shifter?.....personaly i think is the loudest bass cabinet on market ...louder than bass boss👍
YOUR GIRL FAVORITE DJ it doesn’t.
Butt bassboss is ridiculous pricing...you could pick up 2 competitor subs
AN ACTUAL DEMO WOULD BE NICE AND WHAT'S THE RMS? IT'S NOT 3600 WATTS RMS!!!
YOUR GIRL FAVORITE DJ - The spec sheet states that it’s 3600W peak, not continuous.

Can I pair my (2) KS112 with this? Also, would that put it into Cardiod mode as well? Thanks
Leonard jeremy thanks!
Leonard jeremy thinking about trading in my two 112’s (had two months) for another one of the ks118. I’ve got a kw181 and noticed the deeper sound right away with the new ks118.
Leonard jeremy a buddy of mine has the 212c’s and loves them as well. The cardioid function is something you can’t beat.
Leonard jeremy damn do your 212c already had cardiod and 3600w. So it has 12 inches but is it better than the ks118?

So i was about to buy a KW181, should i just get this KS118 instead?
Absolutely. If you do prefer the 181, you should wait because they're sure to go down in price. The 118 gets lower and louder than the 181.
If you are truly Derrick DEEP, you need this sub!
@@AudioBizVids hehe WORD !
Do you think this one would be easier to transport and lift by myself rather than the kw181?

I was told from a qsc tech it’s 3600 watts peak, 1800 program, 900 continuous
