@@angelynramossanjose1795 There is no offense against her but it just didn't do it. She fits modern dramas more and I felt no chemistry between with her and the actors. And there are some parts where the make up artist should have exfoliated her lips. I am critical about how it looks because I did casting for Models. It is from a professional standpoint only. COSTUMING IS STYLING is everything for the actors to develop that character and I really think from the best now is still Raba and Leo in the Long Ballad. Leo looked like a warrior with his hair down and in armor and then with his hair smoothed out and in Han clothing, he looked like a elegant scholar. Raba was her Changege Character in all aspect because the costume made it so. No offense, just a critical eye.
I wish you well but it is just a matter of preferences. I think if styling were a bigger consideration, it may have worked better but if was just NOT working. China needed to do screen test before signing an actor to these period roles.
Zhao Li Ying would be perfect for me
I haven't watched any of her other works, but I thought she was PERFECT here.. Perhaps it's because you have a preconceived notion of her based on her other works, you are unable to appreciate her. I'm glad they picked her instead of typical pretty actresses like Dilreba.. I'm kinda tired of seeing Dilreba these days.. she's the same in every series.. THIS actress has amazing acting prowess and badass vibes like when she punishes the immortal in Donghua's home and when she stabs Bai Jue.. especially the stabbing scene.. the range of emotions..awesome.
