Yeah they look cool, but you're right too expensive and bad battery life is a huge drawback. Keep making awesome tech content you do a great job editing your videos and with the presentation. 🙏♥️✝️
Sooooooo my real answer is that my insurance covers $200 towards frames and my whole cost of prescription lenses. I paid $106 for new glasses that happened to be smart. Two years ago my non smart glasses cost me a little more than that actually so I’m not seeing the issue? This isn’t a lot of money but there are a LOT of use cases for it.
Not gonna lie as a person who bikes these have become super useful in recording my rides and “close calls” .Also the first person POV . I usually walk with a battery pack so to me this isn’t a big deal .
The bad battery doesn't concern me personally since I would only really use these for photos/videos and translations; all things that I wouldn't realistically be doing continuously.
Can you tell me how long the battery lasts when livestream continuously?
6 месяцев назад+106
And I'm tired of people ranting without having used the thing more than half day... I own this glasses and they're amazing... if you're not recording all day they last for 5 or 6 hours easily... just taking a picture now and then, or a video now and then... some occasional calls... what I would say a normal use.
I use them during fishing trips the entire day without any issues. Just load them around lunch time for 15-20 minutes and you got another 50-60% load back. Yes, its only 3-4hs but you load in a few minutes anyway.
@@deboltraja2212 I have no expirience with livestreams but photos you can do all day long if you are smart about it like with any normal camera ie gopro etc. Simply turn the glasses on/off when you know you dont need ie. during lunch etc. situations. this works for me all day long.
I am loving them for the price tag. A few years back I paid between three and £4000 for a pair of glasses to assist me as a blind person. These cost £300. Fantastic job for blind and visually impaired. And who’s going to be using it for three or four hours steady realistically? I love that meta have put so much into it for the price tag. Opens up a whole New World for us blindies.
It's quite evident that many RUclipsrs lack a deep understanding of the topics they discuss. When it comes to technology, perceptions of truth can vary greatly and often depend on the specific use case. In the realm of recent technological advancements, these glasses stand out as one of the most effective and beneficial devices. Meta is clearly leading the competition by a significant margin. It's advisable to overlook the complaints regarding battery life; the glasses typically last throughout the day under conditions such as travel or sports activities. While continuous filming, music playback, or uninterrupted use of AI features may deplete the battery faster, they generally sustain half a day's worth of moderate usage with ease. A quick recharge suffices for the remainder of the day. Although there's always room for improvement in battery performance, the current capabilities are often unduly criticized. The superior photo and video quality, along with rapid operation, are key aspects, ensuring users don't miss important moments. Additionally, it's worth mentioning that these glasses are only about $150 more expensive than standard high-quality sunglasses, making any grievance seem relatively minor.
I agree 100%. I am getting these in a few weeks because of their amazing ability to describe. I am completely blind and would love glasses that are able to describe and read simple things. Glasses with similar battery life designed specifically for the blind cost around $4000 so Meta is leading the competition ahead by far.
Fully agree but then again I’m 38 years old now and I come from an era where I probably had to wait 2-3 hours to charge a battery to listen to my Walkman. Nowadays I keep hearing Apple Watch battery is to small I mean how much juice you want out of a small battery? I take my 5 year old series 5 from charge at 9am and by the time I sleep I still have 20% left which is perfectly acceptable considering the number of notifications I get
I agree, I wear my glasses all day, however, I don’t get a chance to use the features before the charge is gone. They need to allow to last at least 8 hours
Are there ways to extend the battery life? Like can you turn off the speakers and use your earbuds? And are there ways to connect a portable charger while you’re using them?
Im getting through the day with them. I dont use the meta voice recognition. That alone doubled the battery life. I either have them off or i have them on when i need them.
I just got some and they seem pretty awesome, and honestly most of the time I’m not wearing my sunglasses all day long. Not to mention they look good, and charge very fast. Plus, they still work as sunglasses, even if the batteries die. I like them, I can see them becoming my go to shades for most of what I use sunglasses for.
I got a brand new phone and the brand new Metairie band glasses for Christmas. And my glasses won't stay connected to Bluetooth on my new phone but they will on my old phone that isn't active anymore. And it's so frustrating
The battery dies quickly. It charges quickly but, you can't charge without the case and what if they were your main glasses? You would have to remember to turn it off. The video recording length is 3min unless you live stream. It doesn't continuously loop the record the video. It shuts off after 3 min. You have to manually start it again.
If they are your main glasses, turning it off won't hurt. You can still see through it. It's not like you won't be able to see through them if the battery dies. You just can't take pictures.
The battery life isn’t that bad. If you’re going to buy brand name glasses, you’re already paying around $200. I’ll pay another $100 or so to get everything the meta glasses offer that regular sunglasses don’t.
I've been using them and they charge super fast, have around 4 hours of battery life, and tye case battery is really good wich allows you too charge portable
How long will the battery last if I do not listen to music, do not answer any calls, and do not take any photos or videos. In other words, in standby mode how long will the battery last?
tbh battery is not that bad it last for me up to 5-6 hours depending on the use , also in 15-20 or 30 min you will get them fully charged again so i really dont see an issue
I have two rayban meta the Skyler and wayfarer! Same battery life terrible. I bought Lucyd smart glasses , only listen to music and take calls! Batterie life outstanding! Lasts hours . As well as stylish frames.
I have them and this guy doesn’t know what he is talking about. They are great. I listen to music and take phone calls. A course there are a few kinks with any new product but overall it’s worth the investment to me. After all, a pair of good Bluetooth headphones cost around 150 and a good pair of shades the same, so why not get both in one and they don’t fall out your ear.
But the captured video or photo doesn’t load to devices automatically. You have to be on WiFi. I was at the store to buy these until she told me this. I immediately put them back. That’s like old school disposable camera.
I mean if I walk around with my phone constantly recording videos all day I don’t think it would last much longer than that either… either way, be realistic with your expectations
This can be annoying to those who got the prescribed lens because if they take them off they most probably cannot see very well. Other than that it is quite subjective. I like these glasses I think 3 hours is not that bad considering the nice case they provide for charging with some back up power there.
@@spuffee6750 these glasses need to charge. When they are out of batteries and I am using it for music, then I need to put it back to the case for charging. I don’t have to do that for normal glasses dude.
@@spuffee6750 ya 5 hours so do you have a limit with normal glasses? I think you are losing your focus on my first point. You can get prescription lenses with them. Transition lenses available as well. They really aren't much more than regular Rayban frames. My regular frames were $210, $400 total after lenses.
Bashing 3 hours of use seems excessive if they are not prescription glasses, I own a real watch that runs for years I don't bash my smart watch because I have to charge it.
