This inspires me to get out my watercolor pencils! I have the Inktense blocks, which I haven’t used nearly enough, and also 2 other brands of watercolor pencils. Never compared them like this but maybe I’ll try that. I love both bears you painted. I agree that the Inktense do react similarly to watercolor pencils, even though they’re really dye ink... and don’t budge after drying.... but they’re so intense, which I love. Thanks for sharing! Edited to add: I love that technique of coloring on the paper first and picking it up with a wet brush. Never thought to do that!
There are two kinds of Goldfaber. Do you have the Goldfaber with the round barrel or the Goldfaber Aqua with the hexagonal? Only the Aqua are water soluble. However you can use solvent to blend the permanent Goldfaber.
Mamie Carson Yes, depends on what we are doing for sure. Good thing about Inktense is that if you want to add another wet media on top, then it doesn’t mess up. I so struggle on knowing what product to use when I layer. Ugh.
Both are super cute.

My understanding of Inktense is that they are not intended to move after dry. That’s the ink formulation vs a watercolor pencil.
MsDanaGerous yes I have noticed that! I actually prefer to be able to move it even after it’s dry.

MsDanaGerous that’s true too... I’m don’t do a ton of mixed media at the moment, but now I know to use the intense for layering different mediums!
