instead of sounding like a high speed mechanical drone - it sounds like a big ol' bumblebee. which is much better frequency to hear and much less whiney pitch annoying.
Did you re-tune the PID gains after you rade the drone lighter? the stability issues look like it hadn't been retuned, and if that's the case I'm surprised it flew after loosing that much weight
Returned my x-plus. The older model, but it looks as though they retained the same things. It was extremely loud and I’m not talking about the fans. It clanked like a factory machine. It’s way too big and doesn’t need to be. Even with a heated chamber. The addition of ABL and Klipper is nice. But honestly, if it wasn’t so big I might take a second look at it.
I had the first Qidi X plus. Thing was dead quiet, a lot quieter than my prusa mk3s+ on silent mode sitting on a concrete slab printing at 40mm/s. When you go fast, the printers are loud AF. These new printers make a shit ton of noise due to their extremely high acceleration values. Reduce those and the noise level drops dramatically.
I’m trying to find a printer that can handle polycarbonate because i want to print molds for molten wax which may be poured at up to 200 degrees fahrenheit. Considering this printer.
those toroidal propellers worked really well, but it seemed that atleast one wasn't balanced PS: That laptop keyboard is really cool. I've wanted a glowing keyboard because I am always using my laptop in the dark.
Looked like a fun project. Wish I was versed in cad because seeing that frame design was pretty cool. Great job. Can't wait to see some of the other stuff. I may just become a patron.
Great to see these props are less noisy and provide sufficient lift. Did you have chance to balance the propellers to get rid of that motor vibration yet?
Maybe, but there is a big difference between spending 850$ Can for a printer like the one in video, and over 2'000$ Can for the one you suggested. I'd consider very much the qidi x-plus 3 💸
This printer looks amazing! Nice video
Yooooo thank you.. first comment = OG real friend
green screen goofing was excellent.
This really describes the file of an engineer. Well done 👏👏
Great sense of humour. Subbed.
Lol seriously did you see the green screen when he was trying to get the drone out of the ceiling
Came for the review. Stayed for the shenanigans

There is a guy who has this 3d printer in his van and prints flawlessly while driving.

Make more videos man... you got some talent for sure and your entertaining.
Great Video, Thank You for all the info

Do you think if it was running in a basement it could be heard through the ground floor?

Love the video… whats the name of the audio in your short ?

Glad you enjoyed the video.. More to come! Sounds good!
Man i have big question, have u idea how to change dji mini se into printed one? I broke mine hard xD
I like matrix too!
Good stuff
Where can I get the model for the propellor?

Unfortunately one of the plastic gears on one of the motors burnt out! still waiting on a replacement..
Needs more toroids!
OMFG XD
Your close ups of the print quality were neither close up enough nor in focus, pretty useless video
Flsun s1 will be better far better.
Lmfao it’s also $10k, nerd.

Qidi sucks
Why?
