I have made no secret about how much I love the SMS range of paints. As a fellow Australian I find their service just as awesome as the product and the range is just incredible. I got the three new colourshifts when they were released and I have used them already and they came out perfect. Loving the information on the DragonAir, I have been thinking about getting a new Airbrush, might have to grab one from SMS.

I'll definitely be grabbing the 0.2mm SMS airbrush soon after seeing this review. Already starting to build up my SMS paints collection and looking forward to trying out some of the colour shift paints in the future. I've got a Tamiya Jaguar XJ220 that is crying out for that Wormhole colour.

Yet another great video! I really like the color shifts and the chrome. I'm a acrylic guy ONLY because I live in an apartment without a suitable vent. So solvent based paints haven't been an option for me. But I'm in the process of building a portable paint booth with a super efficient air filtration system.
Keep warm my man, (it was a brisk 72 degrees here today). 😊

Love those color shift and crystal/pearl paints. Unfortunately nowadays USAGS isn’t stocking all the special pearls and crystal colors, they have a couple of them still left. Maybe they discontinued them? If they did, that’s so annoying…! Such a great looking paint line, glad it’s got a good price point and since it’s a lacquer it seems to really go on well without too much effort. Looking forward to using these 👀

Been talking to the owner of sms paints as I wanted to do a candy chrome paint job and he said that chrome paints need a water based clear over the chrome as a clear coat like a spray can have solvents which dull off the chrome finish so something like aqua gloss from alclad before candy colour hopefully this helps you guys out with candy paint jobs

You seem to actually know what you are talking about, so refreshing as so much BS on youtube on airbrushing and paint
Very few people including me understand paint.
I build and spray brass 0 gauge locomotives and an an average airbrusher at best
I have always used enamels but havr heard great things about SMS and also outlaw paints which are both Australian and accyrlic lacquer.
I use an Iwatr Revolution CR, it has a 0.5 needle, and i am wondering if a 0.3 needle.
I really only use an airbrush to sprsy livery coats so forme to buy a brush with all the bells and whistles would be a waste of money.
I think both Iwata and Paasche are great qualiy brushes.

'Barbatos', great review, but I purchased a Good Majority of the "Alclad II" lacquers..... and I have seen and used them before 'Subbing' your channel. But I must ask, what do you think about the "Alclad vs SMS" paints especially the chrome??? That chrome from "SMS" looks .......... SUPERIOR to "Alclad", what do you think? ( I mean that 'Dark Tone Chrome' looked WAY Shiny than "Alclad - Chrome" ...... You can Definitely see yourself w/o blurry image ).
As far as your review of the color-shifts, I have been looking at "SMS" and Especially that 'Cosmos' color for a future car build.
I hope to hear from you or Others in the comments....Thanks for the posting, You Always do Great reviews!!!

Well like everything, they improve on products as time passes. While Alclad was the king of chrome when they're wasn't many choices, newer and better formulas have come out. This SMS Dark chrome is one of the best out there, beating the Alclad. And also their color shifts are excellent too. SMS is a great company and their paints are also excellent.
