Hi, since Nifelheim is my favorite song from Secrets of the Runes and I'm a fan of music videos, I thought I'd leave a comment. There were many cool moments: I liked the introduction and I loved how it transitioned to the song starting from the axe falling into the ice. The overlay of the ingraved stone tablet was a nice touch. Most of the clips (videogames, I'm guessing? I'm not a gamer so I wouldn't know) give a great atmosphere of ancient past and lend it some surrealism.
Cont: The outro was pretty good, I loved how it came back to the axe. Overall, I liked the atmosphere for most of the video but it felt about shizoid, like it didn't know whether it was about a primordial world or about humans trying to inhabit a cold place; the two subplots felt disjointed. That said, I watched your Dark Venus Persephone too, and it was amazingly good, the only thing I didn't like was the subtitles covering the images, lol. Carry on, such music needs illustration!
Cont: And they (the scenes from the Vikings) always appeared at the exact same moments in the chorus. It was treating the part about making your life in the cold too literally. At the very end I got a bit bored by all the serpents, it was just too repetetive and again, it wasn't necessary to show serpents just because the words Jormungand and Nidhogg appeared. (I loved the earlier sequence with the dragon though.)
Cont: I'm torn about the image of the serpent going around the tree: on one hand the cartoonish style breaks the overall style of the video, but on the other, it flows with music brilliantly. It could use some video-gamey overlay to bring it closer to the general video style. The scenes from Vikings, though, did't fit at all, in my opinion. Visually, they broke me right out of that surrealistic mood.
the video is great. exept for one thing. the lyrics in 2 languages across top and bottom. creates to much destraction. if you still make videos, keep it coming. they are awsome. but PLEASE put the lyrics in the description UNDER the video?
A letra não era no nórdico arcaico = sueco? Só mesmo europeus que adoram barulho com esse idioma e cultura maravilhosos para misturar tão perfeitamente seu elemento erudito com metal, é a única banda boa dentro do próprio subgênero, para quem não é fâ fâ de metal no filtro que se faz o deggial é uma obra prima pela melhor qualidade de coros e técnica do som, em especial pelo baterista desses dois álbuns, nesse aqui o som tá mais baixo e menos pesado, as musicas são menos legais, mas segue a linha depois deu uma decaída, ja foi melhor, talves ficaram soberbos, grana, ou pelos os caras ter ficado velhos ter perdido a criatividade, um abraço, e ainda tem imbecil achando que ficar velho tem alguma vantagem, só ser for depois da cova.
