    Great video. I ironically just played this one for the first time this weekend myself and I really enjoyed it. Though I did have to look at BGG forums for some ambiguity- according to the consensus there is that you discard any unused cards after every turn (in response to the bishop clogging up your hand). Also that the player phases can be done in any order, like recruiting before using a command. GL next time! It took me a few rounds to win.

      Those are good rule tips, thank you for mentioning and glad you enjoyed it as much as I did. Did you add in the Gates cards?

      @@DaniCha I haven't picked up Gates yet, but you can bet it's now on my radar.

    16:39 “Looks like it’s getting harder and harder” Draws minstrel card.
    “What do you do”? Minstrel - I play lute, and I’m really good at prose.
    Great. 😂
    Decent looking game. I kinda like these tin games vs say Button Shy. Button Shy has some great even amazing games, but with their base games being limited to 18 cards, I think sometimes they get over complicated.

      I agree, there's more substance in these games vs ButtonShy, but there is a time/place for ButtonShy too!

      @@DaniCha Definitely agree. Some of Buttonshy are my favorite in my small game collection.
      And btw. Don’t apologize for hubby. That’s a good thing. Sign of a healthy marriage. That means he’s comfortable around you.

    I've looked at buying this in the past. Looks like a fun game. A question: At 16:55, why did the Gate's die go from 3 to 4 when the Death Guard was attacking? Shouldn't it have gone down to 2? Thanks for the playthrough.

      Hmm, not sure what happened there! I think I must have got confused the value the die was on before I picked it up. Thank you for catching that!!

      @DaniCha No big deal! I just wanted to make sure I was understanding the game. In your opinion, how is the game in terms of replayability?

    • @DaniCha
      @DaniCha  23 дня назад

      I think replayability definitely would be improved with Gates (expansion). But for me, the shuffling of the decks do change things up enough.
