In case anyone is wondering, yes, zero is even. Numbers alternate odd, even, odd, even, so on... so if one is odd, zero has to be even to maintain the pattern.

So far this game for me is brutal and swingy. Some of the threat keywords are just too much with the limited card draw. I may house rule that on fast keyword. Sometimes it can cascade into way too many enemies. Keywords working from the draw pile might go away as well

Something that i have found makes set up way faster for solo is that i keep almost every deck on the box near me and just grab the firsts cards from the deck that i need. The only deck that is handy to take out is the invocations one since all the deck gets pulled out everytime. Setting up the shop is the only thing that i had found not so fast if leaving the things in the box. Also when packing it up, unless im in a hurry, i shuffle the decks so is set ready to play next time!

One of my new favorites on BGA. Didn’t know it could be solo. Have to get a copy now. Great play through.

Sounds like you caught the big rule issue: gaining the defeated threats into your hand. That’s how you keep getting cards. Very tight economy in this game from what I see, between credits and cards, don’t waste any of them

So checking out BGG, the designer had an interesting design comment about this game. He mentioned that no boss is beatable until level 4. It's just the way that boss damage is dolled out. With that in mind, it seems that, to win, a player needs to race to level 4+. Thus cycling your deck ASAP and thus removing cards seems critical. I'm rooting for you to win!

Very visually stunning game. Admittedly not following it as well as I should, thumping sinus headache and lack of sleep on a Sunday morning. That aside, great table presence and I like how that upgrade feature works. Nice play through.

Thanks for the playthrough, that was fun! Missed the KS, can't wait for it to arrive at retail! I've definitely seen other people's playthrough having a lot of upgrades but I think it depends on your strategy as well, if you favour credits or not. A few things in case you play again: 6:40: missed gaining a credit when the threat was defeated 13:15: Unite is 1 damage twice, not 2 damage so you could have killed both 1 attack enemies 14:20: both level discs keep their position and increase by one, so your base disc should be on 2, and the other one on 3 15:40: the Fast threat should have been added to your battlefield unfortunately. I hate this on battlefield/on deck distinction tbh, it makes the game more fiddly than it needs to be, especially since some keywords like Rage don't apply when they are on the deck. After that the Sporeling has Taunt, so you couldn't defeat the other threats first unfortunately.

Your first visit to the Villes, I think you used your Bleu cheese worker on the gold soft cheese space 😬 Hard to tell from the overhead camera. I thought the Lv 2 Corp. was tough on my first play against it! Nice video.

Although I read through the rulebook, I missed that we don't draw up to a hand size at any point in the round. So my game was kind of a fail! I would also gain a defeated threat card to my hand. I'll play better in my full playthrough video :)

Sadly. I'm missing one of the white level base discs. I reached out to Renegade Game Studios and they said they'd send me a replacement. Also, the playmat is doublesided!! So I could flip it over and use it to organize the upgrade and core cards and also the boss stuff!
