Actually sounds better than the OG in my opinion. Pete’s voice is far more intense and his accent is much clearer. With better quality and proper producing, this live performance could easily surpass the original recording
He's singing so darn well tbh yet people say he can't sing. It's the original pitch and ofc he can't hit the high notes I love that he clearly knows it and makes a pantomime of the "loveeeee" note. However his breathing and pronouncing is darn good as well as the tone and quality of voice. He can pitch the lower bits well. Just the top notes are a struggle and he can't project them and he's going very loud on them. His booming voice is clearly messing the monitors as he can't hear the playback vocal because he's holding his ear so he can match the note. I notice that's how he sang he tries to match the track which clearly isn't loud enough several performances he asks turn the track up..Theres a 20 second clip earlier in the week where he sings it in the morning. He nails the high notes I seem to remember.
I believe he was trans and had severe body and gender dysphoria and he suffered greatly until his death. A very sad story. RIP Pete. He would be a total icon in today’s woke culture.
