Dependant on the time of year I would used Punched bread 6, 8 or 10 mill. Other favourites are 8 or 10 mill Robin Reds and as you used punched meat. Good video Ben. Cheers
Yes, it was shameful about the fish in Abbey Fields. A lot were lost due to de-oxygination but at least a good few were saved. Hopefully, the council will start to take a lot more care over the fish stocks they have in their waters in the future. The Abbey Fields, fish were left to their own devices for years without any management of the fish stock in such a shallow lake.
Mate I loved your main line I've been trying to get this over to my mates that fish are afraid of what they can't see rather than what they can see it's like us walking down a dark path and walking into a spider's webb!! But if you see it and your not scared of it you either go through or round it! At last a bit of fresh air and you caught which says a lot for my theory and you just proved it. Well done. My theory got me top rod and won me money and a lot of fish!
Hi Ben A great video are the hair stops longer than usual to go longwise down the hookbait or are they standard and what was the thickness of the meat thanks again
Personally I use a hair that’s long enough for bait I’m using as an example once I’ve put the bait on I want it about 1-2mm away from the shank, at meadowlands I use double 8mm pellet on a band, to set the hair correctly I put two in a band at home then measured it, marked it up in the box as double 8mm, so my 12” hooklength box is full of different length hairs for different jobs. Not sure if all of that helps at all.

Ben for me it's got to be corn any time of the year thankyou 👍🎣
Lavender rescued a lot of Carp from Abbey Fields lake in the drought a couple of months ago so maybe they were the ones you were catching 👍🏻

Awesome video. Thank you. My go to bait this time of year is corn and luncheon meat
Thank you Ben and Thank you Matrix 👍👍
I don’t do a lot of bomb fishing but would use baby corn as it works well on the pole, the fish love it.
Nice one Ben, cheers mate.

Yes, you do need a slightly longer hair mate or the stop pulls too hard on the meat when baiting and cuts through it.
Top Job...
Enjoyable video...
My local big fish lake... Blown 8mm pellet best by far.
I like to use double 8mm expander
Super
Two flavoured chickpeas, when going is hard a single chickpea. Lidl chickpeas about 0.30p…..I feed those ….hookbaits are prepared by me and flavoured.
