HIIIII i said i'd upload again in december :DDD i didn't manage something before Ricky's new album but it was close enough it's like a two day difference. Theoretically i could've finished this sooner but motivation doesn't work like that
Originally i was kind of unsure about how this song was turning out in 8bit because it's acoustic and i didn't know if that would go well but i think i kind of clutched it at the end
Anyways guys i graduate middle school today !! Crazy to think about that because literally my first video of this channel was for an art exposition i made in 6th grade so like the cycle has ended. I'm proud of what i've done, like i'm still doing original music just not on FLStudio, and i think it's more fitting to upload 8bit on youtube

and 2:04 is either flashbacks, a cutscene or the credits starting
i get what you mean like the part where the guitar goes to strumming feels like the song is finally fully starting but it's just the outro it gives off such an isolated feeling

oo i'd love to but unfortunately the legislation where i live makes it so i can't upload anything to spotify until at least october (minimal required age is 16) so for now it's only on soundcloud which no one uses
i'll probably work on doing more songs from the same few albums and then upload them at once next year

i tried to add the same level of emotion on the vocals by making the lower pitch vocals a bit longer ? hopefully this makes sense just thru typing like bc there's two vocals on the song and one is an octave above so i made the lower pitch voice have less breaks
i will continue doing these !!! they're so fun and people are receiving them so well i couldn't not keep doing 8bit music
also i use boscaceoil which is like the first free easy to use program i found three years ago and honestly it's pretty nice, there's a lot of different sounds to choose from and the drum set is very complete. my only complain is that you can't change the time signature throughout the song but it's not the end of the world

i'm happy to hear that :)) to be fair 8bit is a very niche kind of content but i'm ok with the audience i have, like from what i've seen people really like my videos like i get a lot of comments which isn't common on youtube and i think that's great

I heard this version of the song and figured out how to play a good chunk of it on the piano before actually listening to the og, and I think I like this one better...

@@vmufinnoh the first bands i really started listening to all their albums were ajr and cavetown mostly because of animatics. i personally remeber listening to neotheater album over and over again. tbh i think i just grew out of t. might look their stuff again sometime
Software or app on how you made this?
i use boscaceoil :DD it's a relatively good software especially considering it's free and beginner friendly, and it has a lot of instrument choices
as for its limitations i've encountered, the sound is mono, you can't change time signature mid song and the limit on the tempo is 220. but all things considered i would reccomend it
