    Canada is a hell hole. I left Canada two months ago for a job in the States. I couldn't be happier. Now I'm making more money, paying less tax and the cost of living is drastically lower than my previous Canadian city I lived in. I hope all Canadians who could leave the country to leave to greener pastures.

    As a side note, let's say your rent is 40% of your salary, the government steals 30% of your salary (taxes), utilities/food/sports is about 25-30% of your salary so you're left with 0-5% of your salary xd

    In 2004 I wrote a somewhat famous article called 'Top 8 reasons not to immigrate to Canada'. In short, the Canadian authorities tried to destroy my life. They made it so that I could not be employable in Canada. So I moved to the U.S. in 2005 and then some years later I moved permanently to the Philippines. I am happy that so many years later videos like yours are saying essentially the same things that I did. I was ahead of my time. I will never go back to Canada. Not to live, not to visit, not even a connecting flight. Too cold, too expensive, taxes are astronomical, no freedom, no jobs, no opportunities, xenophobic people, too depressing. It has become the North Korea of the western world.
    Their are many reasons why Canada has fallen apart. But the number one reason is ‘multiculturalism’. My friends, multiculturalism simply does not work. Different cultures do not come together and mix, different cultures come together and clash. The world is divided into different countries for a reason: because people hate each other and only want to be with their own kind. The number two reason for Canada’s demise is ‘socialism’. In this modern era of aging populations, it is mathematically impossible for socialism to continue. The government does not have the money to take care of old people and provide healthcare, pensions and the various other benefits, even with the astronomical taxation that burdens hard working Canucks. Well Canada, you had a good run. Time for Canucks to move to an emerging country. We welcome you here in Southeast Asia.

      Not just students.. immigrants too.. Canada should control the immigration program..
      But again they are doing it for money.. there is a reason the government is allowing so many students and immigrants.
      Higher taxes and tax paying people.. especially if they are highly skilled people..
      Your government does not care about how Canadians live.. all they see is skilled workers = more money so hussle and live or stay in some corner of the country..
      It's sad and I hope something is done about it.

      @@sanketnegi1 Tech sector in Canada is non existent, most companies that exist are US based. Israel has 1/4th the population of Canada but in tech investment and innovation it is second only to the US. People's mindset and Government's vision matters too. Canada is way too reliant on its natural resources. That industry is thousands of years old so don't expect much growth in future. Canada will continue to be a rich country with a small population for hundreds of years.

    To be honest, this is why I'm not immigrating to Canada and don't understand the (Canadian hype) that most people have.
    Life is easier in Canada, you'll get anything you want!!!
    This is the BS that people (immigrants) believe, the annoying thing is that we all have access to the internet and they refuse to see/hear your side of the story (life sucks now).

    I only left at 51 and wished I'd hv started 3 decades earlier 😂 Hv been on the road for 9 yrs, covered more than 30 countries where I get to work & enjoying literary every corner of the beautiful planet instead of paying up to my nose for nothing in Vancouver, tho I used to love my city to the moon... not to mention months of wet & miserable winter & how cold & edgy people are these days. In spite of moving around once every few months but I managed to save 2-3x more in comparison to when I was working just to pay all the bills where I could never earn enough to own a home myself. I still hope for massive make over for the country I love yet I'll encourage anyone to get out of your comfort zone and u shall be surprised by all the experiences money can never buy u! I think there is something major missing from your calculations unless I misunderstood. If you are earning $90,000 from a job in Canada, then you are paying almost 50% tax. That doesn't include, HST or GST, Carbon Tax and other baked in taxes on things you buy. Tax is your biggest expense, followed closely by housing. That would leave you $45,000 but even if you are clever and you get your tax down so you are left with $50,000, you still won't make it. A one bedroom apartment with rent and hydro will be around $33,000 a year. If you don't take vacations and you buy clothes at Winners, you might brake even. But food, credit card interest, parking, insurance will eat the balance away. But thats a problem for about 5% of the population because the average income in a year in Canada is between $43,000 and $47,000 depending on who you ask. Why are wages so low? Because Canada makes nothing. Those jobs were shipped off years ago and the only business we have is the housing business. Common sense and basic math will tell you that someone earning even $75,000 a year is not buying a $2M house or $1M apartment. That is for another topic, but spoiler alert, its drug money, hundreds of billions of dollars but you can read the RCMP reports yourself.

    • @Joeym1655
      @Joeym1655 10 месяцев назад

      In Ontario you need to earn over $220,000 to get into the highest income tax bracket (about 48% combined federal provincial) and that rate doesn't apply to the entire $220,000. On average total income tax/net income is usually closer to 35%. Someone earning $90,000 doesn't get near 50%. Somebody earning that much would know that.

    • @WMcSnickets-xw5om

      @@Joeym1655 That’s because I earn more than that and I have for years. But your missing the point, even if you earn $100,000 and pay 25% in tax, your still not getting a house.

      @Joeym1655 10 месяцев назад

      @@WMcSnickets-xw5om I corrected a factual inaccuracy I do get the point. A $100K salary will not support a detached house but you might get into a condo. If you must have a house you’ll have to live closer to London than Toronto. To live in a house in Toronto requires income in excess of $200K and a 20% down payment.

    Hey, I just released a video my self today warning immigrants coming into Toronto to watch out for similar items in terms of housing costs as your video here. I live in Toronto and work in construction inspecting new house construction. Supply and Demand is only going to get rougher going forward. Immigration is not going to be slowed down in the future, and the construction won't happen fast enough so even with all these interest rate increases, overall the cost of owning and renting is going to go up because people will be fighting for a place to live. It's getting crazy and its going to get worse. The government doesn't care about us lol. The place is in the crapper for sure!
