for errors like this its fun to make up backstories for them for instance this male alicorn has a horseshoe cutie mark and because horseshoes are considered lucky that could be his thing being ridiculously lucky like being born an alicorn by pure chance its just a fun made up backstory but its fun

Jinx Actually according to Hasbro comics that contradict the show aren't canon. And I remember that the comic takes place after Season 7's "Discordant Harmony".
It would have been a great episode imo but people would probably get upset that Pinkie became a alicorn.

Also, not gonna lie, if their relationship is explored, I imagine that Jack Pot was the textbook definition of a neglectful/absentee father. Like, he either didn't know he had a kid or simply didn't care, hence Trixie's showboating tendencies.

Everyone was going crazy over the Rick and Morty ponies, but I found myself more interested in the Walter White pony. XD Course most interesting of all was Jackpot, Trixie's dad. I mean, man, the show is now hinting that Trixie is the result of a one-night-stand! They were really sneaking in a lot of 'adult' jokes/themes into this episode.
I do believe there was official confirmation that he was meant to be Trixie's washed-up deadbeat daddy.
The writers are leaving the "Washed-up" part for our head canons.

The plot can be them trying to have a good time together but Rainbow Dash keeps unintentionally screwing it up with her interfering. At first, they think it was a total failure of a vacation. But then they realize that they did have a great time because they had each other. The episode ends with them hugging

I still stand by the notion that the lesson for this should actually have been directed at Applejack, because her overprotectiveness almost completely ruined the Golden Horseshoe Gals' fun. They had waited far too long to have that night out in Las Pegasus, yet Applejack insists that because they're elders, they need to be constantly monitored and kept from doing anything potentially harmful to them. But come on, just look at them! They were perfectly fine! Nothing bad was gonna happen to them! The worst that could've happened was them straining themselves out of anger at Rainbow Dash killing their good time (of course, that anger should really have been directed at AJ, because it was *her* rules that forced RD to keep the grannies from having their fun in the first place)! I swear, if there isn't an episode either later this season or in season 9 where AJ FINALLY receives consequences from her overbearing nature, I will be straight-up done with her as a character.
Elijah Foltz Applejack should get yelled at. Even if this was some plot to teach rainbow dash a lesson it was mean. The grannies didn't get to have a lot of fun due to rainbow trying to be loyal and do as she was asked by Applejack. If Applejack hadn't interfere sure rainbow probably wouldn't have realized how cool the grannies were but they would had more fun.
For once I think every new MLP episode is overwriting the last as my favorite.
And that, my friend, is definitely Trixie's dad. Confirmed or not, that disappearing act? The huge as fuck ego? The palette?? Definitely her deadbeat dad.

Yes, Rainbow Dash has responsibilities. No, she didn’t NEED to ride the ride. But AJ knew how important it was to her and was like “lol good luck” when making her look after the Oldies.

There's clearly animators who are fans of these shows, so I say when episode 200 hits (if ever), a second Slice of Life would do these easter eggs justice!
So why do pegasus ponies get a thrill from going on a roller coaster, when they could just do all those stunts in the sky themselves? Simple. It's about lack of control and the thrill of going so fast while *not* being able to use their wings.

This would have been a great episode if AJ didn't have all those rules for RD because it felt like she had to hoof hold them the entire time. Most elders I've known are pretty sharp and still responsible adults until something affects them so much so that they do need to be monitored more. So the episode was okay, but so far, S8 has been average.
