Glad to see you using your new items and they are working well for you! I sent lots of science items to go with the books. Since you have big classes, I sent some lab items but most are geared toward demonstrations or pass samples around. I had the cash flow to send things now so you could plan but will have to wait until second semester to have funds again for more than just an item or two per month. I want you to give some thought on whether you want a few microscopes and prepared slides for small group work. Storage may be a problem too. Most of the slide sets have plant, animal, and human cells. I hope what I have sent already will make science more interesting beyond paper and pictures/films with seeing 3D items. So glad you are feeling better this week!!
I cannot thank you enough for all the amazing supplies you have given me. Now to find a place to store it all! Lol. The school did provide three microscopes. They are the white boxes I have in the closet!
My school breaks back to school night into sessions, so parents with multiple kids can visit multiple classes. All sessions start and stop at the same time. For example, 4:00 - 4:30, 4:35-5:05, etc.
Since the science books only show table of contents online, I have a few questions on whether you need any of the following: classroom set of bar magnets, study properties of light with prisms and concave/convex lens, and an anatomy model with all the organs that snap into place. And I inquired below on whether you need prepared slides for your microscopes. I will add what you need to my list to incorprate buying in second semester.
I was thinking about that in the beginning. My kids have been doing much better at locking the door so I don't thing we need it anymore but I definitely want to incorporate a slider next school year!
