After the Queen’s death, I actually ran away with Woody.EXE and I never opposed him once because I knew he would get very angry at me. I didn’t care if everyone was worried sick or not because I wanted to get away from the arguments! Woody.EXE returned me home 2 days later and my mother agreed to Woody.EXE living at my house permanently.

School students always have expectations to meet. If you're meant to be in form or lesson at a particular time, then you need to be there at that time. Plus the teacher didn't even know he was helping his mate out, she asked him twice why he was late, the first time he didn't answer, the second time he muttered that he didn't know.
You know, it genuinely wouldn't surprise me if the kid on crutches was late for form and his teacher completely ignores his crutches and yells WHY ARE YOU 1 MINUTE LATE FOR FORM YOU ARE A COMPLETE DISAPPOINTMENT TO THE SCHOOL!!!!

Sometimes, you have to be a little bit ruthless in order to get ahead and if that means leaving someone else behind then so be it. Even if it’s someone who’s struggling.

Generally because they act pally with the kids and get a good relationship with them, so don't actually have to deal with them being disruptive or cunt-ish that often. The kids like them so do as they're supposed to. But if the form teacher had to get them to do work and be a disciplinarian among another 15-20 kids, i'm sure they'd be pulling their hair out as well lol.
# Clickbait our form tutor forced us to be silent through the whole of form, and wanted us to read, now it seems alright bit annoying, but the thing is, if you brought your own book to read, you couldn’t read that, and her only books she would give we’re fucking nursery rhyme like books, you know the cute doodles with the scratch and sniff shit, it was annoying, the only fun we every had was when she had a baby, that was half a year ago and our new tutor is way better
Honestly I'm from the US, I'm 37 and have a 17 and 7 year old, and I'll tell you now these teachers seem to care SO MUCH, our teachers here can't seem to be bothered to actually care about the kids, the ones that do are FEW AND FAR BETWEEN. I think they were extremely supportive of Tom, here they would have just sent him home from the get-go like he is not our problem. Good on these educators!
Schools are way too scared of being sued in the U.S. The U.K teachers can be real, you even hear some mild cursing and tough love. In the U.S. everything's down to protocol and people will definitely twist that. "You were approximately 1 foot away from the child and said XYZ, now you're facing disciplinary action because it's hindered their ability to progress" or such and such a thing. Even if you meant well, if you didn't follow that protocol, you're doomed. Unfortunately, teachers are too scared to get too close to kids.

I really relate to Tom.
I lost my dad last March. I was in school the next day, where my Head of House at the time had a meeting with me, where he promised to tell my teachers for me so they were aware.
He never did. I had to tell them myself. Six times that day.
Apart from hearing about his death, I haven’t cried about it once. I’ve been close to but somehow I’ve kept it all in. It’s making everyone worried, including me. I loved my dad; out of everyone he was the person I’d go to, have a laugh to, be myself to...
We’d go out to the city and try out restaurants (our favourite closed four months after he passed) and just generally have a great time together. I really miss him.
Sometimes though I’m just walking home from college or work and my mind just wanders back to when I found out, including when I went onto the phone a few minutes later, because I really needed my best friend. I tear up, but I don’t outright cry. I don’t think this is normal at all.
I can also cry on command now. As a student studying drama and performing arts, this is helpful.
This isn’t normal either I’m sure.
I have no idea who to talk about to this because I just feel too awkward to.

I'd suggest talking to a grief counselor. I went to one after my mum passed when I was 15. They're really good at talking to people who are dealing with a loss. They know about all the weird ways people can react, and it just helps to talk to someone who actually knows what they're on about.

See I was helping my mate in a wheelchair and I got told off for helping her during a fire drill. I helped her come downstairs 😂 and the substitute sent me to detention and told me to not come back to school for 2 days. And I was like I'm sorry but do you want to see her fly downstairs and break her bones even more🤦🏻♀️ and SHE SAID WELL SHE SHOULD USE THE ELEVATOR! And then I just walked home and my mum phoned the school and the substitute has never been seen again😂
But what was funny is when I was highschool this girl had to have a chair that she sat in and they basically just flung her down the stairs (basically) she got fed up of being flung so she flings her self down the stairs instead😂 it's well funny

I love how the school ignores someone having adhd and saying its bad behaviour, and that exclusions etc are gonna help , just like before when a guy was bullied so much he lashed out multiple times and was isolated and excluded without them trying to help stop the bullying
Is his ADHD diagnosed, though? Having no diagnosis and no meds does not help. No diagnosis, no understanding and accommodations.

I lost my step dad when I was in year 10 and it hurt, but going to school was the best coping mechanism for me. Sometimes you need that normality to keep you going.
Going to college the day after the Queens funeral, my friends found it very heartbreaking. I’ll never forget how heartbreaking my Woodys grief actually is and now he has to deal with the passing of a S club 7 member as I grieve
having a step-brother myself, i couldn't even imagine what tom was feeling at the time. he said it himself even though aren't completely the same blood we treat each other as if we did. such a shame, sorry for your loss if you ever read this.

It's tough that tom went to school next day after his brother died, but I wasn't too different after my mum passed. Week later I started year 10 because I honestly just wanted to hang out with my friends and have something in my life that was normal.

I really enjoy watching this show. I am American, so sometimes their accent is a little thick, or they use expressions that I am unfamiliar with, but I think the teachers are doing a great job with the students!

I don’t see why that teacher was so harsh with him for being 5 minutes late, he walked in and said sorry miss. He was trying to help his friend.
i used to always be on time but i could never be arsed with the last lesson so i would leave 1 hour early that's until the school police officer put a stop to it
I wondered if she apologised off screen. I thought it was very unreasonable when I saw it first time.
Everybody responds differently to grief, I remember I went from straight A's to D's and F's. Not nice for a Bright young student who had such potential. All my troubles started after that point. It never goes away, but in this case, maybe he needed a hiatus to help him get back in the right mindset, and help with the initial shock of bereavement. It's sad to see a student like that.
