i can't get over that this stuff will never come again...1989 is gone forever. it fills me with a sadness i can't explain. i still remember returning to school in the new year, all nine years old of me, and catching myself out accidentally writing '88 on my work book. never again.

I was 11 years old in 1989, I'd just seen Batman, and the 1990s looked like it would be a decade of technological wonders which would catapult us into a Jetsons-like society. The optimism was intoxicating!
The promo guy's voice when he goes very serious for the Review of the Year and then jollies-up again for the film comedy! Lol

The clip in the video doesn't look like it was taken from 27th December 1989. I've definatley got the episode of Neighbours shown that day and the broom cupboard continuity was very different

You are correct, it was added by myself, unfortunately there are certain individuals on You Tube who like to 'borrow' videos and then re-edit them play loads of music and then pretend they are real. Hope it didn't spoil your enjoyment.
