Damn,I would love to spend days just going through that mountain of comics. That would be heaven for an old(55) comic geek like me. It's just a shame I'm thousands of miles away in Scotland,lol !! Enjoying the vids though so thanks Rene and casey

It can be an overwhelming and arduous task to bag and board .. those piles feel never ending ... reminds me of a collection buy I did once

A little trick we did while bagging & boarding...tape the bag flap at the BOTTOM backside of the comic book - it helps keep the flap from getting damaged while going in and out of the boxes.

Even though I'm a collector of comics, I most certainly agree it is nightmare to have to deal with. So envious of all those comics, but the task of sorting through them can be very overwhelming. But love watching these videos and spotting something that I would love to have for my collection. Will look forward to the video of the original artwork, for its something I want for my collection in the future. Please keep those videos coming... : )

I learned a lot form the comic books videos. I never looked at them at sales but do now I found silver surfer 1 and 2 and the ghost rider 1-4 these were in a lot for just a few dollars. The silver surfer 1 in an apparent grade (raw)sold for 250 in a blink.
Those comic con posters are sick! I have been going since 1992 and have every program since 1991, when they first moved to the convention center

Unbelievable! You have more comics than most Comic Shops that only sell comics! You are correct to realistically determine the condition of your books before sending them out to be graded and slabbed. You avoid the mistakes of paying more than what the comic is worth. You can easily sell those weaker books raw and still make a ton of money!

Looks like some rooms in my house lol. Not hoarding but it makes it easier to sort through the special items when it's convenient.

Dealers are everywhere the same.. in Holland the same story! when we open, we use a separate area with extra staff. And a maximum of articles they can take at once. When you keep the amount lowe, everybody has a even chance of buying the best stuff..

You have the fame, notoriety, money, and connections. Hire someone from CGC to come to your house and grade them as you go. Put them up in a hotel for a week, and have them put in an eight hour day for a fee. I know this can be done. I know this has been done with large collection collectors before. Might take some stress away. Just a thought.

Wow, wish I lived near you, I coulda went through all those in a few days and pulled out all the key issues for you. As for the Superman 147, you were thinking of Adventure Comics 247 which has a very similar cover, which is the 1st appearance of Legion of Superheroes. If all these comics were bought off the shelf at the time, maybe this should have been a pedigree collection? A lot of them look quite nice, X-Men 1 looks like the most expensive one I can see so far, had a nice boom in value recently as well!

Make sure you look into any Journey Into Mystery, Brave and The Bold, Showcase and Avengers. You need to get some more graded. You’ve got Key Books.

Also don't forget that your soldier books from 60s can fetch a good amount of money..there is a very good niche market for them

Woah....that's a lot of comics! I use stackable comic drawers, I recommend them if you have a store display because you can stack 6 high and they are easy to use. If you need more info on them just text me

You could set up an Ebay BIN with multiple lower end comics with quantity listing so people can pick the issues they want $5-$50 and people would be happy having 1 or 2 comics from the hoarder house. They do that with baseball cards in Pick the ones you want buy-it-now
You all need a dedicated crew to sort, bag & board...then check prices on them & then box them for you

Wonder Woman # 34 50-400. Do not bend these. Most all old comics need to bagged and boarded. One crease can lower the grade.

You should publish a book just on the comic's you found and how they were up graded.
Take pictures of the early ones and the information and make a book, How much they are and what the worth. Since you are doing that almost now. Put all that hard work into that book

Absolutely love your videos and your family! All those books are incredible. Sometimes the more obscure they are the more they are worth. Even without covers or with tears and rips they are worth cash. You may find that you have complete runs of all those titles which is a collector's fantasy. You put in the hard work and the research and it is truly paying off for you. Keep making those great finds and thank you for taking me along on your journey. Take your time and do it right. Don't let these folks pressure you before you are ready!
take the mining rig. unmount the cards, get them checked and sell them 400$/piece for a quick sale, you might get few hundreds more for the rest of the rig, mining is not profitable anymore at this scale so graphic card prices will go down soon (they are already).
