DxO normall updates PhotoLab in the fall of each year. Hope XD2 shows up. Since it is in Pure Raw I am pretty confident it will be.

You can bet it will be there! In fact I believe it was supposed to be in Photolab 7 but probably didn't make it in time. They put XD2 in pureraw before photolab which they never have done historically

I was wondering why the Prime options denoising made the preview view horrible, I stayed away from them. Now that I know about the loupe or having to export the image, I might try them.
    Thank you!!!!!

Yes one of the most confusing things about DXO which I only found out about after many mistakes. I believe they will be fixing this by Photolab 8.

According to the Gentlemen Coders website it does. You can see the full list here www.gentlemencoders.com/extended-raw/iOS16-Ventura/index.html

Good explain. One thing though, When you dribble on about AI it is a turn off for those that know that AI is just the latest Dog whistle catch phrase.
I for one am very sick of hearing it used on Everything, Like Aliens came to Earth and gave us ALL the answers of Life.

Yes it is everywhere and overused. I was just citing DXOs own materials. I'll keep it in mind!

A lot of these photo applications do use AI. While I agree it's a marketing buzz term it's important to understand what the AI is doing as it can be both good and bad. Some AI is just using algorithms to enhance the pixels that are there. Some features use generative AI to imagine and add pixels that weren't in your original image. Topaz Gigapixel is an example of this and the results can be outstanding but has to be used knowing it is not your original image and should be used with caution. Using the term AI isn't bad but qualifying what the AI is doing is important.
