I really like these developer direct showcases by Xbox. Perfect balance between trailers, gameplay, information and the devs talking about their passion and game.
Few thoughts..... 1) This is my favorite type of games showcase. More than just trailers and hype reels, showing more game play and explaining systems. 2) I used to default watch these at Giant Bomb....no shade to those guys but 6 people talking over a show is an absolute mess if you want to learn anything about the games. JP does a fantastic job at still being an entertainer while not getting in the way of cool stuff. 3) All four of these games have potential. I'm especially invested in the last two but the first two are ones I'd like to sample on game pass. Great show.
solid showing for me. NG4 & NG2 Black were a wonderful surprise. i've been looking forward to South of Midnight for so long, Expedition 33 is intiguing, and i'm down for anything Ben Starr is in, and although i mourn the loss of my fellow Aussie Mick Gordon composing Doom: The Dark Ages, it does look amazing nonetheless.
Doom looks really good, but very static compared to the crazy speed and elevation of Eternal. Pretty clear that the combat was designed to be more controller friendly.
i think it might be more that lots of people complained about Eternal being too platform-game-focused compared to Doom 2016. some people like myself loved that change to spice it up a bit from what Doom 2016 offered, but i saw online at least that many others didn't like that fast-paced-platforming element & elevations, and wanted it to be more like 2016 again.

That French company’s RPG can take all my money right now
Xbox really found its formula. Best Developer_Direct yet, hit on every single game for me. Love the focus on gameplay.
Expedition 33 has elements that look like a love letter to Lost Odyssey and I am all for it.
wow I havent thought about that game in years.

Expedition 33 hits all the right spots for me, can't wait too play it!
Man! I love these shadow drops, hope this becomes a trend.
This was absolutely amazing! Thanks as always JP!

The accessibility sliders are pretty great. They can go BOTH WAYS.
Crazy good idea. Make it easier or even harder. I'm setting speed to 150% for sure

Expedition 33's combat system reminds me of shadow hearts
