One thing you forgot to mention is the coolest cheat imo. For overlapping holds and notes: using one hand with 4 fingers to hold while you use the other hand with 4 fingers to tap repeatedly at the same time. This can produce some INSANE effects and you can AP while it doesn’t seem possible. See Rein’s video “99% can’t keep up with this chart” at 1:30 for an example. Although there are crazier examples.

I used to be thumbs and you can cross fingers, try this. hold your phone as if your playing rn, you can obv reach to the mid point, now just with one of your thumbs try to reach over to the other side, when you do hold that position, do the same for the other thumb, now that youve made an X with your thumbs just lift your thumbs without adjusting your phone grip, now u can reach over with both thumbs with that grip. TLDR; GRIP UR PHONE DIFF
There's this thing I personally call the "bang dream trick" since I do it on bandori. When there's a fast "flick-tap" "tap-flick" section, you can actually flick BOTH notes and it's still registers.
Worth mentioning flick direction as well. Some charts there's sections with flicks that are much easier to do flicking in a direction that's not the one indicated on the note. It's a 'wrong way' and a kind of cheat but I don't think the game actually penalizes you for it.
Whenever i did a wrong way i’d always see a “great” instead of “perfect”. I might try later to see if that’s true (idk if it’s different for jp or eng)

One thing I would add to the cheating/cheesing about this is that many mapper have utilized the player’s cheese tactic for them too. Take chunithm for example, old charts usually consist of hard pattern that cheesing them is a tactic to make it easier, but if you look at the newer charts, cheesing have changed from a tactic to a must, many charts need you to learn the cheesing method to get an AJ(all perfect for chunithm) or even to not miss any note. So for me I think it is like a race between player and charter, player cheese a map, charter create a map make you have to cheese to pass, this happened so that player didn’t feel bored with the chart style, and charter can go all out with the charting knowing player can do it.
Cheating? nah I intentionally make the game harder by forfully adding cross hands in as many damn songs as I can. one of my favorites is dame ningen MASTER (30) on the trills that make a hex looking pattern, I always just treat is as a normal trill by crossing my hands, or in the new merry go round MASTER (29) I make my hands do fkin circles and loops and an ungodly amount of colisions happen if im not focused might be hard to visualize what I mean but just look for user enamel energy and his AP of the song, essentially that but no AP and rarely FC lmao

there is parts in like circus panic or chururira master that have a cool pattern to play. i can do circus panic master patterns but i still have trouble reading chururira's patterns so i end up cheesing it spamming one finger 😭
I think another thing is for lots of spammy maps, mainly intense and end expert you can repeatedly tap between the hitboxes of the two notes on each side instead of moving your hand since the map is made for alternating rhythms.
the "crosshands cheese" you're talking about is what I call "handovers", and I see it as an another legit way to tackle patterns that does "finger hostage", which is useful for charts made for 4 fingers but can be done with thumbs. also, I call the "using multiple fingers" as "carpet bombing" as you don't care where the inputs are. I'm always disappointed when I see someone do it since it clearly looks "cheating the chart" everytime I see it. It saddens me to see it being used in phigros most of the time even though it could be beautiful to see when you pull it off properly.
one time i was trying to fc cutlery on master and there's this one part where its like a double tap but its really fast and i tapped once and it counted as a great because the notes were so close to each other lol

Like please do not cheese thrills unless they are unhittably fast to the point where spamming feels almost intentional (cough orgyarinizer append cough). I do admit to spamming a lot on high lever charts tho, either due to 6k nonsense I know I can’t hit (I’m on a phone that only accepts 5 inputs) or just cuz it’s some BS I actually cannot hit legit at all lol. Only on like really really hard charts like 36’s and 37’s tho. PS I would suggest not spamming, unless a pattern is complete BS.
I think I'll start cheating because of my low end screen. When I have to release a LN and tap another note at the same time, my screen detect it as If I just moved my finger. It makes me do dumb misses. So, I got two choices, I start cheating to deal with this hardware issue or I play in my phone where it doesn't happen. And I honestly, as much as I admire those who play multi finger with their phones, I cannot adapt and I really need a big screen.
Just a quick note: Iphones cannot detect more than 5 fingers at once and will cancel all inputs if you ever put 6 fingers on the screen at once. If you want to cheat on fast moving sliders, just use 4 or maybe 5 fingers.

As a one hand player I don't think most patterns are made with me in mind so I cheat a lot of patterns just because I can't do them normally
